The session aims to provide students with in-depth knowledge of wine appreciation, tasting techniques, and the art of understanding flavors, aromas, and pairing. This interactive workshop will bridge the gap between theoretical learning and industry practices, offering students a unique opportunity to learn directly from an expert in the field. Through this session, students will enhance their sensory skills, develop a refined understanding of wines, and gain valuable insights into the evolving beverage industry.

𝐈𝐄𝐌’𝐬 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐭𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐇𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐥 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 (𝐈𝐈𝐈𝐇𝐌), a constituent institute under University of Engineering and Management, Kolkata, is organizing a Forex Workshop in association with Transcorp International Limited, providing students with valuable industry exposure to the world of foreign exchange and global financial services.

The session will be conducted by 𝐌𝐫. 𝐒𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢 𝐁𝐨𝐬𝐞, Business Development Manager, who will share practical insights into forex operations, global currency exchange, and the role of foreign exchange services in the hospitality and travel industry.

The gathering celebrated a cultural dialogue between European breakfast traditions and the Indian table, presented through a thoughtfully curated continental breakfast spread accompanied by reflective conversation.
We were honoured to celebrate this informal continental breakfast in the presence of our University’s Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Prof. Satyajit Chakrabarti, over a meaningful tête-à-tête. The thoughts, reviews, and perspectives shared during the session were thoughtfully captured through the engaging Just A Minute (JAM) reflections.
We deeply cherish the presence, insights, and encouragement extended to our students by our distinguished guests — Tanmoy Roy, Ananya Bhowmik, Indranil Chatterjee, and Chef Sagnik Majumder. Their reflective suggestions and warmth made the morning truly enriching.
A special note of appreciation to the Kitchen and F&B Department for the excellent ex*****on of the event under the guidance of our supportive faculty heads. It was indeed a morning of learning, dialogue, and shared hospitality.
