It provides engineering, technological & management education. The college is an AICTE-approved institution and is affiliated to West Bengal University of Technology. Techno India is the flagship college and the main placement centre for Techno India group of Colleges (spread across The West Bengal). Techno India is located in Sector V, Bidhannagar, Kolkata Salt lake, Kolkata and is spread over 10
acres (40,000 m2) of land. The college campus consists of: two large buildings; one main building which is 5 storied, and another new building 9 storied (mostly houses corporate offices like Tech Mahindra, NIIT, ARC, a large playground, a small swimming pool, a coffee/xerox room and a food court. Techno India offers both undergraduate and post graduate courses in various engineering, computer applications and business disciplines .The college offers B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Food Technology and the college also offer other professional degree course like Master of Computer Applications (MCA), Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA), Master of Business Administration (MBA) two-year full-time program, Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), Bachelor of Hospital Management (BHM),Bachelor of Media Science (B.M.S), Bachelor of Optometry (B.Otp.), Master of Technology (M.Tech.) The B.Tech, MCA, MBA and M.Tech courses are AICTE approved.All the courses affiliated to the West Bengal University of Technology, Salt Lake, West Bengal. There are about 175 faculty members teaching in various departments. More than 2200 students are enrolled to various courses of study. There is a library at the ground floor of the main building. The library is well equipped with modern facilities like computerized catalog, ecopy of all the books, computerized maintenance of lending and receiving of books, a reading room and computers to search books online. The college hosts an annual cultural festival called "Anakhronos". The other major event is the technical fest "Edge", which has events ranging from robotics to gaming. EDGE is the largest fest of Kolkata and one of the largest in India. EDGE'10 headed by Koustav Mazumdar was the largest gaming fest in India. It saw the participation of the largest gaming clans of India including ATE and Invictus. The college also publishes an annual printed magazine named "Graffiti" and several weekly wall magazines which are displayed in the walls of the floors.
