On the 18th of July, 2019, KBD Juniors Season 3, Interschool Kabaddi Competition organized by Star Sports was held at DI Club, Park Circus. The matches will be telecasted. The matches were co-sponsored by Marshall Sports and the Media partner was Hot-Star. A total of 24 schools participated in the competition. There were Eight Groups (8) numbered A to H. Each Group comprised of three (3) schools. Pailan World School was the winner of Group B with a very wide margin, and has been selected for the next round to be held in September-October, which will also be telecasted.
Pailan World School management, Teachers and Students are proud of our Junior Kabaddi Team, We wish them success in their upcoming matches.

A student of Pailan World School, Sayan Sen of Class IX received the Dr. A.P.J.
Abdul Kalam Ignite Award from the Hon'ble President of India, Shri. Pranab
Mukherjee and Smt. Menaka Gandhi, Ministry of Women and Child Development,
Government of India, Rashtrapati Bhawan, New Delhi on 7th November 2016 .
On 7th November 2016, the National Innovation Foundation of India awarded the
30winners of the National Competition of Original Technological Ideas and
Innovations of School Children IGNITE. The President of India awarded the young
winners. An exhibition showcasing award winning ideas was held at the venue.
Sayan quotes Dr A P J Abdul Kalam: “All birds find shelter during a rain. But, eagle
avoids rain by flying above the clouds. Problems are common but attitude makes
the difference.”
Sayan is interested in pursuing medical science research to invent low-cost medicines for critical diseases and wants to become a doctor. He
plays the guitar, violin and the synthesizer and is learning to paint.
“One day, while getting ready for school, I suddenly opened the door of my father's room who was coincidentally standing behind the door. He
was hit but fortunately the injury was not severe,” recalls Sayan. After this incident, he started thinking about how such incidents can be
prevented from happening. This led him to the idea of an alarm/sensing system that can sense any physical presence on the other side of the
door and give indication to the person opening the door. Once he successfully experiments this idea at home, he plans to contact concerned
authorities to implement this in schools and offices.
