🌿STS ALUMNI PLANTATION DRIVE 2025 🌿
A legacy of gratitude, rooted in green beginnings.

Organised on 13th July, 2025 with love and pride by the St. Thomas’ School Alumni, the Plantation Drive 2025 was a heartfelt initiative held in the gracious presence of His Grace, The Rt. Revd. Dr. Paritosh Canning - Bishop of Calcutta and Chairman of St. Thomas’ Boys’ School.

With the unwavering support and encouragement of our Principal, Mr. Suman Biswas, who beautifully echoed our mission with the tagline –
“Green St. Thomas , Clean St. Thomas” the event stood as a tribute to the past, and a promise to the future.

A special note of thanks to EACH ONE ! PLANT ONE ! – whose generous contribution of 150+ new saplings helped us to bring this green dream to life on our beloved school campuses.

This day was more than a plantation drive – it was a reunion of hearts and heritage. A moment where seniors and juniors, Ex-Thomasians and Ex-Thomasinas, joined hands in unity – from both the Boys’ and Girls’ Schools – celebrating a shared purpose and timeless bond.

Let the roots we’ve planted today grow into trees of tomorrow’s pride. 🌱

On May 17th, under the banner of St. Thomas' School Alumni (Althoms), a friendly football match was organized, aptly titled "Back to the Field". Eight teams from batches spanning the early 90s to the Class of 2025 participated, showcasing the true spirit of the game.

We're deeply grateful to our revered Principal, Mr. Suman Biswas, whose visionary leadership and encouragement made this event possible. By opening the doors of St. Thomas’ Boys’ School to ex-students, sir set the perfect tone for a memorable fellowship. His initiative and support were instrumental in bringing this tournament to life.

Our heartfelt thanks to our esteemed seniors who played a pivotal role in making this tournament a success. Kudos to the young and dynamic ex-students who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure the grand success of this football match!

This was more than a match; it was a reunion of legacy and loyalty.

We were honoured to welcome legendary cricketer and former BCCI President, Mr. Sourav Ganguly, to the Bishop Canning Sports Academy (a unit of St. Thomas’ Boys’ School) today.

Currently serving as the Chairman of the ICC Men’s Cricket Committee, Mr. Ganguly graciously took time out of his schedule to engage with our young athletes. His visit was a source of immense inspiration, as he shared his invaluable insights, experiences, and deep passion for the game of cricket.

The students were elated to interact with such an iconic figure in Indian cricket. It was a memorable and motivating experience that will undoubtedly encourage them in their journey toward sporting excellence.

We thank Mr. Ganguly for his presence and look forward to many more such inspiring engagements in the future.
