IMI Kolkata hosted an insightful guest lecture on “ 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗼𝗗𝗕 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗡𝗼𝗦𝗤𝗟 𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗲𝘀” as part of the academic curriculum, featuring Mr. Praveen Vishnoi, Sr. Engineering Manager, RPSG, and Mr. Dipanjan Laha, Data Analyst & AI Engineer, RPSG.

The session provided students with practical insights into database fundamentals, SQL and NoSQL systems, MongoDB, and selecting database architectures based on business requirements.

The discussion explored real-world applications including flexible data structures, APIs, indexing, data retrieval, replication, sharding, data integrity, and configuration management. Through industry examples, students gained an understanding of how technology solutions can address changing business needs while ensuring scalability and efficient data management.

The session also highlighted the growing role of data, technology, and AI in modern organisations, reinforcing the importance of connecting business requirements with appropriate technological solutions.

At the AACSB Leadership Dialogue at IMI Kolkata, global engagement met the richness of India’s cultural heritage through a powerful presentation by the Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat (EBSB) Cell.

Inspired by Mahishasur Mardini, the performance brought alive the triumph of good over evil and the emergence of Shakti—symbolising courage, resilience and the strength to rise against injustice.

More than a cultural performance, it was a celebration of India’s timeless traditions and the enduring power of women—connecting heritage with a message that remains deeply relevant today.
