গতকাল আমার দুজন ছাত্রছাত্রী যারা নিজেরা স্বামী-স্ত্রী, আমার কাছে এসেছিলো। যাওয়ার সময় দুজনে প্রণাম করলো। কোনো পুরোনো ছাত্র প্রণাম করলে ভালো লাগে। মনে হলো, এখনো ভারতীয় সংস্কৃতি কিছু লোকের মধ্যে বেঁচে আছে। যেটা আজকাল আর দেখা যায় না।
कल दो पूराने छात्र-छात्राएं, जो husband-wife हैं, हमसे मिलने आए थे। जाते-जाते दोनो प्रणाम करके गये। अच्छा लगा। लगा, आज़ भी भारतीय संस्कृति कुछ लोगों में वर्तमान है। जो कि आजकल दिखाई नहीं देता।

The great Mughal Emperor Babar had a noble heart. He always thought more of others than of himself. Once he was returning from Herat. It was the middle of winter. His way lay tough mountains. The snow was falling heavily. A storm was blowing hard. Babar and his companions were lost in the snow. The snow was very deep. At every step they sank to the waist in it. Some of his men broke down and could not go on. They looked about vainly for a shelter in a mountain cave, but found none. They thought in despair that they would never reach their homes again. As they took a turn on the way, they found a cave. With great hopes they went to it, but it was too narrow to make room for more than two or three persons. So they wanted Babar to go into it for shelter. But Babar would not go in. He said that he would not go in leaving his men out in the storm. He remained outside with them all.
