On 18th May 2026, Eedha Chakravartty of Class IX C participated in the ABSKA State Selections 2026, conducted under the aegis of the Karate Association of India at Space Circle Club.
Competing against participants from 23 districts across West Bengal, she demonstrated exceptional skill, determination and sportsmanship throughout the event.
In the highly competitive 12–13 Years category, among 58 talented karatekas, Eedha secured a Silver Medal in Kata and another Silver Medal in Kumite, achieving a remarkable double podium finish.
Her outstanding accomplishment reflects her dedication, perseverance and passion for excellence, bringing immense pride and honour to the school.

At the 15th edition of LMCMUN, one of Kolkata’s most prestigious Model United Nations conferences, the delegation from Indus Valley World School represented the school with confidence, intellect, and diplomacy. Competing against delegates from leading schools across the city and the country, seven students participated across five challenging committees, showcasing not only their debating skills but also their ability to think critically, collaborate effectively, and adapt under pressure.
The delegation comprised Anuja Adhikari, Protyasha Biswas, and Vardaraj Choudhury from Class XI, along with Miraya Paul, Sumedha Chakraborty, Arka Adhikary, and Aurko Basu from Class IX. Throughout the conference, the delegates engaged in rigorous discussions on global issues, honing essential life skills such as public speaking, research, negotiation, leadership, and teamwork.
Their dedication and perseverance were reflected in the awards round, where Anuja Adhikari secured the Outstanding Delegate award in the Council of Eastern Kingdoms, while Protyasha Biswas earned a Verbal Mention in the Congress of Vienna.

On 4th and 5th April 2026, Aradhya Thakur of Class VI A participated in the 5th West Bengal Seishinkai Sh*to-Ryu Karate Championship 2026, organized by the All India Seishinkai Sh*to-Ryu Karate-Do Federation at Howrah Indoor Stadium, Dumurjala. Competing in the Girls category, she displayed remarkable skill, confidence, and discipline throughout the championship. She brought pride to the school by winning a silver medal in Kumite and a bronze medal in Kata. Our students proudly participated in the Inter School Sports Tournament organized by The Newtown School from 24th to 26th April 2026. In Basketball, a total of 14 teams competed, and our team delivered an outstanding performance by reaching the finals, where they faced DPS Ruby Park and finished as runners-up. In Table Tennis and Football, our students also participated with great enthusiasm and sportsmanship, gaining valuable experience and exposure.
We congratulate all our players for their dedication, teamwork, and commendable performance throughout the tournament.
