People generally use the term Design for making objects, but design is bigger than that. Wikipedia defines Design as “the creation of a plan or convention for the construction of an object or a system”. The design thinking process can help us bring changes in the community we live in, it can be used to solve big corporate problems and it can also help us solve our day to day issues . It’s a though

t process, which helps in generating great ideas and coming up with innovative solutions. This “Think like a designer” workshop is about using design to make a difference. We will be working together in groups to address our problems creatively; The problems need not be something that will save the world but something that makes a difference to us. We find out the reasons for our problems, reach out to the people involved and come up with crazy out of the box ideas to find a solution to our problem. So if you are looking for a lecture and to take notes then this is not the place but if you want to do something fun and innovative, step out of your class rooms and get to know the people and their needs, something which creates value for somebody and most importantly yourself, then you should be a part of this workshop. This video is a very good example of how we can bring a change by making the experience fun. The activities in my kit has been inspired a lot by "The Fun Theory". The key here is not to force people to bring a change but design something so fun that people want to be a part of it.
