My Lecture Series: The Story of Photoelectric Effect

Dear Friends,
As you know, the all time great scientist Albert Einstein got the Nobel Prize in Physics 1921 and we are celebrating the Centenary year of this landmark event. He got this award primarily for his theory which could explain Photoelectric Effect. So much of our technical structure is based on this photon theory and Photoelectric Effect.

IIT Kanpur is hosting a short course by me (H C Verma) on the History of Photoelectric Effect starting from July 15, 2021 and the registrations are going on at bsc.hcverma.in . This will be a 12-episode Lecture series in which the great efforts of various scientists will be highlighted and the technology development to design the apparatus will be brought about.

The course is aimed to widen the vision of our young students and the faculty and look at the scientific and technological development in the realistic perspective. It should be useful and understandable by Science students and faculty at Plus 2, BSc, MSc, B Tech, Research scholar levels in addition to those having interest in the history of Science.

Please note that there is no Fee attached.
