The Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour at St. Augustine’s Day School, Budge Budge, on 15th August 2026. The programme commenced at 8:30 a.m. with the assembly of students, teachers and other members of the school community.

The highlight of the celebration was the hoisting of the National Flag by Wilfred Sir, followed by the singing of the National Anthem. The school premises echoed with patriotic spirit as everyone stood respectfully in honour of the tricolour.

The programme included patriotic songs, speeches and cultural performances presented by the students. The performances beautifully reflected the students’ love for the nation and paid tribute to the freedom fighters who made immense sacrifices for India’s independence.

The celebration concluded with a message encouraging the students to uphold the values of unity, discipline, responsibility and patriotism. The programme was a memorable and inspiring occasion for everyone present.
