We are delighted to share that Ms. Tanisi Bhattacharya, MSc Textiles & Clothing student from the School of Fashion & Textiles, J. D. Birla Institute, participated in the Workshop-cum-Demonstration on “Source Design & Graph Making through Paintbrush Software” organised on the occasion of the 12th National Handloom Day, 7th August 2026 and secured the First Prize in the associated competition.

The programme was organised in collaboration with the Weavers’ Service Centre, Kolkata, Office of the Development Commissioner (Handlooms), Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, and the Department of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises & Textiles, Government of West Bengal.

The programme was held as part of the 12th National Handloom Day celebrations, highlighting the integration of digital design skills with the traditional handloom sector.
