Our screening of Paris Qui Dort turned into a truly magical experience as drummer–composer Stéphane Scharlé brought René Clair’s 1924 masterpiece back to life with his Augmented Drums — a fusion of acoustic brilliance and real-time electronic innovation.

For one evening, time stood still… and music breathed new energy into cinema. 🥁🎬✨

Presented by Institut Français en Inde, in collaboration with the Indian Museum Kolkata and Alliance Française du Bengale, this immersive movie-concert invited our audience to rediscover the poetic, fantastical universe of Paris Qui Dort — a landmark in French fantasy cinema.

A strong continuation of DELF Junior Week in Guwahati! ✔️
On Monday and Tuesday, our pedagogy team from Alliance Française du Bengale travelled to Guwahati to accompany candidates sitting for the DELF A1 and A2 Junior examinations, hosted by the wonderful team at Sanskriti The Gurukul, thank you for being such great hosts !

We were proud to support these young learners directly on site, ensuring they felt guided, confident, and ready for their evaluation. In the photos, you can see our jury at work, candidates practicing before the exam, and students fully engaged during their written and oral tests. 🇫🇷📚

A reminder: the DELF Junior, delivered by France Éducation International, is an internationally recognized certification for school-aged learners. Valid for life, it provides students with a valuable academic and global advantage as they progress in their French-language journey.

We’re thrilled to announce that Agniva — our talented FLE teacher and the creative mind behind many of AFdB’s designs — has been invited to perform as an independent artist at the iconic Hornbill Festival 2025! 🎶🔥

This year is extra special with France as the Country Partner of the festival, alongside the support of the Ambassade de France en Inde and the Consulat Général de France à Calcutta 🇫🇷🤝🇮🇳

Held every December in the stunning Kisama Heritage Village (Nagaland), the Hornbill Festival is known as the “Festival of Festivals” — a vibrant celebration bringing together Naga tribes, music, dance, crafts, food, art, and boundless creativity. It’s where tradition meets contemporary voices… and this year, Agniva’s voice will be one of them.

We couldn’t be prouder to see one of our own shine on such a unique cultural stage. 🌟
