In a rural village in Montgomery District, the old Punjab Province of Pakistan, Sardar Jodh Singh was born in 1920 to Sikh immigrants who had come to India during the Indo-Pak War. He launched a dairy business in Kolkata after looking eastward in Ludhiana for economic opportunities. Since his initial visit to Kolkata in 1952, Sardar Jodh Singh has made this city his home. He quickly made this diary business profitable and began supplying milk to Kolkata's top providers of dairy products. In 1998, he founded an engineering college in Asansol, then in 2000, he established JIS College of Engineering in Kalyani. From then on, there was no turning back. He established the state's first private dentistry college in 2003. On 25th January, 2018, this remarkable person took his last breath. May his eternal soul rest in peace. JIS University Management Department pays Tribute to The Founder, Sardar Jodh Singh ji. We pray to him, ask his blessings upon us, so that we can carry on the journey he started.

Jis University Management Team is celebrating the auspicious occasion of Guru Gobind Singh Jayanti, today on 17th January 2024. This occasion is celebrated to honor the birth anniversary of Guru Gobind Singh, the tenth Sikh Guru, Born on December 22, 1666.
Guru Gobind Singh played a crucial role in shaping Sikhism and promoting the values of equality and justice. The day is marked with prayers, processions, and gatherings at gurdwaras. Sikhs reflect on Guru Gobind Singh's teachings, emphasizing courage, sacrifice, and devotion to God. It's a time for spiritual reflection and unity among the Sikh community, as well as the whole world.

Management students from DEPARTMENT OF MANAGEMENT STUDIES have participated in the Hr Colloquium organized by Medica Hospitals on 24th September 2022. They have not only learnt the latest Hr practices of the health industry but also interacted with the HR of different hospitala of kolkata and got a detailed insight of the practical aspects of the pros and cons of health industry.
