Suryodaya High School - A school for the underprivileged students Suryodaya is a school for the underprivileged section of the society that spread the light of education with the continued support of our well wishers.

Educationist and Chief patron, Ms. Sunita Kanoria, took up the reins of two secondary schools in 2012 named “Suryodaya” at the two fringes of the City of Joy, one at Santoshpur and the other one at Birati. She leads a committed team of teachers and staffs to accomplish the task of providing quality education to children coming from the weaker section of the society. Vocational training in computer

s, dance, art and crafts are given on the school premises to the students to make them all round performers. Children are motivated to perform in a student friendly environment where they are provided with clean healthy food for lunch. Her tireless efforts ensure that both the schools prepare our children to be worthy citizens of the society. Some of the guardians are given training in quilling and other handicrafts at school to make them financially independent. A big project on women empowerment is in her wish list too, which will be executed in near future.
“Suryodaya” holds a brighter tomorrow for countless children under her vision and guidance.

"Reading books opens the doors to imagination, knowledge, and endless possibilities.”

Indeed, it was a proud moment for Suryodaya High School as our young gems once again shone brightly, this time in the field of story writing. These budding writers were invited by the Inner Wheel Club of Hiland Park to attend the prestigious launch of the book Voices Unbound, where their creative works have been published. It was a remarkable achievement that filled the school with pride and joy, celebrating the talent and dedication of these students.

It is truly amazing how these young minds have beautifully expressed their thoughts, emotions, and imagination through their writing. Their achievement reflects not only their creativity but also the importance of nurturing a love for reading and writing from an early age. “Books are the foundation of learning, and through reading, young minds grow into great thinkers and creators.”
