'Boshonto Utsab’ is the joyful celebration of the spring season. To welcome the arrival of spring, the students of Suryodaya High School organised a colourful and vibrant programme filled with graceful dance performances , melodious songs and beautiful recitations.Special performances were presented based on Holi songs, spreading the spirit of happiness and togetherness among everyone present. The enthusiasm and energy of the students made the celebration truly memorable.
The festival created an atmosphere of unity, love, and harmony within the school campus. Boshonto Utsab reminds us of the beauty of nature and the joy of new beginnings. Holi, the festival of colours, teaches us to forget differences, forgive one another, and strengthen the bonds of friendship. It signifies the victory of good over evil and fills our lives with positivity, hope, and vibrant colours of happiness

A fun-filled activity with colours was organised for the students of Montessori to Class II just before the joyous festival of Holi. The enthusiastic children enjoyed playing with bright colours and creatively making beautiful art pieces. The activity filled the atmosphere with happiness and laughter, helping the little ones learn through fun while celebrating the spirit of togetherness and joy.

With this spirit, the Investiture Ceremony of Suryodaya High School marked the announcement of the Prefectorial Board for the session 2026. It was a proud and memorable moment as the newly elected prefects received their badges, symbolizing responsibility and trust. The Head Boy and the Head Girl were honoured to receive their badges from our respected Chief Patron, Sunita Kanoria Ma’am. The ceremony was further enriched by the inspiring speech of our Headmistress, Paulomi Ma’am, who motivated the students to carry out their duties sincerely and uphold the high ideals of the school.
The prefects then took a solemn oath to serve the school faithfully and perform their responsibilities without bias. The program filled everyone with a sense of pride and confidence, encouraging the student leaders to set positive examples for others. The Investiture Ceremony is significant as it instills leadership qualities, responsibility, and teamwork among students, preparing them to become disciplined and dedicated citizens of tomorrow.

The students of classes UKG, I and II joyfully participated in a Non-Fire Cooking activity organized in the school. Dressed smartly like little chefs with caps and aprons, the enthusiastic children took part in the activity with great excitement. They learned the concept of preparing food without using fire and understood the importance of hygiene and teamwork while cooking. The young learners prepared simple and tasty dishes like sandwiches and jhalmuri, and thoroughly enjoyed the hands-on experience. It was a fun-filled and educational activity that encouraged creativity and self-confidence among the students.

“Informed minds grow into responsible adults—this is the true purpose of s*x education.”
A s*x education and self-development session was conducted for the students of classes VIII, IX, and X, both boys and girls. The session focused on the physical and emotional changes that occur during puberty and guided students on how to understand and manage these changes with confidence. They were given a basic idea about the reproductive system, along with important lessons on personal health and hygiene to promote a healthy lifestyle.
The students were also advised on the importance of making wise decisions, especially while using mobile phones and chatting online. They were encouraged to respect themselves and others, and to seek guidance whenever they feel confused or anxious. Such sessions play a vital role in modern life as they help adolescents grow into informed, responsible, and confident individuals who can face challenges with awareness and maturity.

The students of Classes V and VI visited the Alipur Zoo today and had a wonderful time. They were excited to see different animals from up close, which they had only read about in their books or seen on television. Watching the lions, zebra, giraffe birds, and chimpanzee in real life was a thrilling and joyful experience for them. Their curiosity and enthusiasm made the trip even more special.
Visiting the zoo is not only enjoyable but also educational. It helps students learn about wildlife, their habitats, and the importance of protecting endangered species. Such trips create awareness about nature and teach children to respect and care for animals. Overall, the visit was both fun and meaningful, leaving the students with happy memories and valuable knowledge.

Suryodaya High School was honoured to receive an invitation to the New Senior Manager Program organised by EY (Ripples Team) at ITC Royal Bengal .
Under this initiative, 55 students were gifted bicycles, bringing immense joy and excitement to them. The students felt proud to be part of such a meaningful program, which encouraged and motivated them while supporting their educational journey.

Republic Day marks the celebration of India’s democratic spirit, as it commemorates the adoption of our Constitution and reminds us of our duties, rights, and responsibilities as citizens of the nation.
At Suryodaya High School, the day was celebrated with great pride and enthusiasm. The celebration began with the unfurling of the national flag, followed by the soulful rendition of the National Anthem. A vibrant cultural programme was organized, which included an inspiring speech by our respected Headmistress and thoughtful speeches by students. Patriotic songs and graceful dance performances filled the atmosphere with love for the nation.
This year’s celebration was made even more special as we also commemorated 150 glorious years of “Vande Mataram”, paying tribute to the song that has inspired generations with the spirit of patriotism and unity.

“ॐ सरस्वत्यै नमः।”
This shlok is a simple prayer offered to Goddess Saraswati, the goddess of knowledge, wisdom, learning, and arts. By chanting it, we seek her blessings for a sharp mind, pure thoughts, and success in education.
Suryodaya High School celebrated Saraswati Puja with devotion and happiness. Students came to school in colourful dresses and offered 'Anjali' to Goddess Saraswati. The school atmosphere was calm and joyful, and many ex-students also visited the school to relive their fond memories.
After the puja, 'Bhog' was distributed, which the students enjoyed very much. On this auspicious day, everyone prayed together to receive the blessings of the Goddess of Knowledge for wisdom, learning, and a bright future.

At the 16th World Confluence of Humanity, Power and Spirituality, the students of Suryodaya High School presented a captivating dance drama depicting the ancient tale of Prahlad. The performance beautifully portrayed Prahlad’s unwavering devotion to Lord Vishnu, which remained firm despite severe trials and tribulations. Through expressive movements and powerful narration, the students highlighted how devotion and faith stand resilient even in the face of extreme adversity.
The play further illustrated that when injustice crossed all limits during the reign of Hiranyakashipu, the Lord manifested as Lord Narasimha to protect devotion and uphold righteousness. The performance received immense appreciation from Dr. H. P. Kanoria, Chairman of the World Confluence of Humanity, Power and Spirituality, our Chief Patron Mr. Sunil Kanoria, and our Honourable Director Mrs. Sunita Kanoria, who praised the students for their dedication, grace, and meaningful presentation.
