WFME Recognition : Some facts

1 WFME accreditation is mandatory for Indian Medical Graduates to pursue their career in US/UK etc 2024 onwards

2 MBBS degree of China /Russia/ Ukraine etc have WFME accreditation

3 The graduates from the above three countries have a pass percentage of less than 20% in FMGE of India

4 So, WFME accreditation p***e can not be considered as a criteria about the quality of medical education

5 NMC spend total amount of USD 74,134 for WFME accreditation

6 NMC Chairman received a letter from NRI students' parents from USA on 2nd December 2021

"Further, needless to say, non-compliance of the accreditation requirement as specifically
mentioned above, will be a huge demotivating factor and have a cascading effect on the number
of NRI candidates from USA who intend to pursue MBBS course back home in India.

It is most humbly Submitted that in order to protect the interest of our wards, we request you
to kindly provide us with the information requested in point (a) and (b) above at your earliest
convenience but not later than one (1) week from the date of receipt of the present
representation. In case, we do not hear from your goodself within a period of one (1) week, we
will be compelled to take avail of our legal rights and remedies."
