📚✨ Shakespeare’s Birth Anniversary Celebration | Day 2 ✨📚
The Department of English, Vedanta College, Kolkata successfully concluded its two-day event commemorating the birth anniversary of William Shakespeare on 22nd April, 2026.
The final day featured an insightful lecture by our esteemed guest speaker Ms. Triparna Mukherjee, who spoke on “The Sonnet Sequence of William Shakespeare”. The session explored the structure, themes, and timeless relevance of Shakespeare’s 154 sonnets, leaving students and faculty enriched with deeper literary understanding.
The programme ended on a meaningful note, fostering academic discussion and celebrating the legacy of the Bard. 🌿📖

At Vedanta College Kolkata, fostering leadership and a spirit of collaborative learning remains a key priority. In this direction, the BBA Department, in collaboration with the Research & Development Cell, successfully organized an engaging Research Session led by senior students.

The session was conducted by Subhadip Mondal and Chakraborty under the able guidance of Lopamudra Ganguly. It provided meaningful insights into the research journey—from developing a basic research framework to exploring publication opportunities—while drawing from the seniors’ own experiences.

What made the session especially impactful was the open and supportive environment, where junior students could ask questions freely without any hesitation. Such peer-led initiatives not only enhance understanding but also nurture confidence, curiosity, and leadership among students.

By enabling seniors to mentor and guide, these sessions help in building strong role models within the institution and encourage a culture of learning through shared experiences.
