Padatik Dance Centre is honoured to perform at the inaugural ceremony of Charnock-Lohia Hospital, formerly renowned as Lohia Matri Seva Sadan.

A Grade I heritage property listed by the state government and situated in the heart of Central Calcutta, this landmark stands as the first heritage hospital of Eastern India. With thoughtful restoration and extensive renovation, the historic structure has gracefully transformed into a modern super-specialty hospitalโ€”where legacy and progress meet in harmony.

Darbari is a graceful Kathak presentation inspired by the grandeur of the Mughal courts, where the dance form blossomed into its most refined and regal expression.
Set to Teen Taal and Raga Darbari, the piece weaves together intricate compositions like Ladhi, Tehai, Paran, and Tora, highlighting the elegance, rhythm, and expressive depth of Kathak.
