With so many laurels coming in our way, it is difficult to keep count. And thus, an error on our part was commited. Due credit was not given. So here goes. We did not just emerge as the national champions of the rap poetry competition. We also bagged the runners up prize. Koustubh Ramakrishnan of class XII (Commerce) was the runners up in the National Rap Poetry competition organized by the British Council. Apologies from our side Koustubh for the delayed transfer of information. But many congratulations to you as well. As always, you continue making us all swell with pride :)

The Sociology Department of Apeejay Schools, Kolkata has undertaken a novel initiative. Students of classes XI and XII pursuing Sociolgy will conduct a research study on the topic- "Effect of Food Consumption patterns on Communtiy Identity". This is a unique venture being implemented by an educational institution in Eastern India for the first time and as such has recieved a token of recommendation from the Central Board of Secondary Education. A nice way to begin school after the vacations :)

And now into the field of co-scholastics. A national level rap poetry competition was organized by the British Council on the theme of the Olympics. It was a rigorous event with several excruciating rounds of intense scrutiny and after almost a year after the competiiton was instituted, the resulkts were finally declared. And it gives us immense pride and honour to announce that Proiti Seal Acharya of class XII (Humanities) emerged as the winner of the event amongst several participants across the nation.
Many congratulations, Proiti. You have done us all proud!

The first assembly after the summer vacations and as always, it was filled with news of excellence achieved by our students in various fields of scholastic and co-scholastic activities. The result of the class 12 students this time around has been overwhelming. Mahasweta(Humanities)-95%, Ankan Sur, Upamanyu Saha (Science)- 95.2% and Deborshi Majumdar (Commerce)- 95.2% were our school toppers. Amritrajeet Mukherjee of Humanities achieved a perfect score of 100 in Sociology. To applaud their brilliant performance, a felicitation ceremony is to be held at the Salt Lake premises on Saturday, the 22nd of June. Well done Apeejayans!
