Joydeep, the Class Rep, is one of the most enthusiastic and hardworking individuals in the batch. Be it scheduling classes, cancelling CTs, or coordinating placement drives, he's your go-to guy on whom you can always rely. One of the most loved individuals in the entire department, he has never failed to deliver in demanding situations, from helping the professors during NBA visit preparations to shouldering other department-related responsibilities, he has always been a constant helping hand for the department.

"The salt of the earth" is a living garrulous, who can spend hours talking with anyone. He is always online and responds to messages in the wink of an eye. He is the ultimate who can start crying in any situation. He is an expert in public speaking, especially with his American accent. A big fan of promos, he has made it a habit of delivering promos in his illusionary world to overcome anxiety and sad thoughts.

Joydeep is the perfect example of a master manipulator A-Lister handling situations smoothly. He has a good taste in music and can cook delicious food too. Bro had quite an interesting school life (let's not discuss it here XD), but he didn't have the luxury of experiencing the same in JU. Of late, "The Voice of the Voiceless" is making quite a mark on the JU confession page (writing and receiving confessions, huh XD). The only thing he lacks is social acumen when it comes to talking with unknown people (excluding HRs XD). We hope just like he managed us, somebody manages him too XD.

Subhleen Singh, a name as uncommon as someone grinding leetcode late at night and benching your body weight in the morning. Just when there was a drought for SDE offers, bro managed to convert one finer than Khabib's undefeated streak. While everyone panics before the final shortlist comes out, bro managed to stay asleep. His calm demeanor under pressure is nothing short of legendary.

Subhleen is a master of balance. If you don't see him living in the coding matrix or hitting the gym, he's probably binging UFC fights, watching GOT for the 1287th time, tracking geopolitical events, or looking out for wide-body chassis (it's an inside joke). His dedication to his passions is evident, whether it's coding, fitness, or staying updated with global events.

The journey has been real since March 2022. From tackling complex algorithms to setting new personal records at the gym, Subhleen's commitment and perseverance are truly inspiring. His multifaceted personality makes him a standout in any crowd, effortlessly blending intellect, physical strength, and a keen sense of humor.

Despite facing setbacks in life (a phase where crying alone beside the lake was normal for him), no obstacle could break his earth-shattering resolve to achieve what he wished for.

The self-proclaimed Delhi ka Launda with his Haryanvi accent is often found ending texts with 💀 to portray his cool demeanor (making him more uncool). He is the perfect person whom everyone likes to dig at XD. He spends the entire day cooking dishes, caring for cats, while also teaching coding to his lawyer date. He has friendly relations with almost everyone XD. He's a vibrant and dynamic individual whose fun-loving nature is truly infectious. But what really sets him apart are his incredible dance moves at college fests like CIIPPUS and Sanskriti. Whether he's cracking jokes (very articulate at cracking dark jokes) or engaging in spontaneous adventures, Aniket surely knows how to make the most out of every moment.

We are thrilled to share that Yogesh Tiwari and Saptaswa Majumdar have secured Full-Time offers from Fluor Corporation as Graduate Engineer Trainee during the highly competitive on-campus placements.

Yogesh, affectionately called "Thara Bhai," is one of the kindest and most helpful people you'll find in our batch. Whether it's books, train tickets, admissions, T-shirts, or finding an affordable apartment in Kolkata, he has the ultimate "jugaad" for all your problems. Not only is he academically active, but he also supports his family and even contributed a fair share of money for his sister's wedding, pulling off quite a feat.

Transitioning from coding to core engineering was a bold decision that turned out to be life-changing for him. Although he often struggles to meet deadlines, he has always played it bold in life. From his romantic reels in the first year to his role as a CR in the second year and his support as the Logistic Convenor of our departmental reunion, Yogesh has always been in the spotlight. His bike is his true companion, whether it's breaking traffic rules or helping him travel places for work. However, when he's in a bad mood, he can be the worst nightmare for anyone.

A big Kabir Singh fan, he has applied the same touch to his love life too. His intrusive thoughts often become too dark to imagine, but that can't overshadow his heart of gold which can be seen through his perseverance to help his peers in tough situations.



Saptaswa, aka Kaka, is one of those rare guys who spends more time with his in-laws than his friends XD. He excels in both theoretical studies and practical applications, balancing academic success with a fulfilling personal life. His calm demeanor and approachable nature enable him to connect with people effortlessly.

He has experienced difficulties in maintaining close friendships, often finding himself not well-integrated into a supportive friend group. He faced a significant personal setback when someone he deeply trusted betrayed him, shaking his faith in others. However, his habit of relying on friends' money for food without paying his share of the bills can be quite annoying.

The biggest comedy in his life occurred during industrial training when someone from his past roasted him without realizing she was talking to the same person XD. But keeping everything aside, his kindness and willingness to help illustrate his golden heart, making him a cherished friend for many.

She makes the best random plans and never fails to cheer you up with her words. Ranjan Himanshu, undoubtedly one of the most "Cazz" people of our batch, can out-debate anyone on topics ranging from politics to education. A helpful individual with great leadership qualities and an unlimited 'coding ka nasha,' he's done it all from the get-go ,like mastering his DSA skills, being the epicenter of the loops, or submitting his answersheet in 30 minutes flat. In fact, he was the first from our batch to shift to Kolkata during COVID, showcasing his extreme love and passion for Jadavpur University.

He'll always amaze you with his astonishing 'chengra' stories and his complex love saga, parts of which are legendary and imprinted on the walls of the now-abandoned 'Hotel California' (S3-16). One of the most admirable dadas in the hostel, Himanshu is a perfect loop man who creates magical vibes with his presence and his choice of uncensored Bhojpuri songs. Beyond academics, he’s often seen rash-driving the latest bikes and experimenting with new notes on his ukulele, thanks to his passion for music and bikes. Lately, he’s indulged in some crazy new desires, but he remains the best CP coder in our batch, mastering strenuous concepts like Dynamic Programming and Greedy Algorithms. He is one of the few personalities who can overcome any difficult situation with his sheer dedication and hard work.

"The Krish" of IEE 2k25, Ayush Shaw, is the long-haired lad whose energy is beyond words. With his signature "chitta maal" and "ai to chai dada" catchphrases, he has elevated CIIPPUS drama to new heights. But don't let his laid-back appearance fool you as besides managing his father's business, he maintains an impressive SGPA.

Known as the "Moulali ka banda," he is a true multitasker. After college hours, he seamlessly transitions into business mode, handling various responsibilities. He’s also aced the GATE exam and has a stint as a junior electronics tutor under his belt.

Despite his genuine heart, he carries a single sadness of not being able to win over any girls. Once someone caught his eye, but her rejection shattered his heart like glass. Undeterred, he's now all about “Kabi Sukanta” vibes, sharing fresh “shaayari” daily. Poetry is his therapy, especially when the heartache lingers. He hasn't played with anyone's heart coz he reserves that energy for carrom matches. His loyalty extends to being a helpful friend - whether it's fixing electronics or bargaining at the bookstore to bring a pricey item down to an affordable cost.



Trisha Samanta, aka Tweesha, the core virtuosa of IEE 2k25 has added another feather to her hat. She not only boasts one of the highest CGPA but also carries the backbenchers' spirit.

She is capable of brightening your entire day if you sit and chat with her on the campus bus. When she's not helping people clear their doubts and pass exams, you can find her in the library, immersed in her unique taste for Bengali literature. Despite being from "panchayat ki ICSE," she has never forgotten her roots, as seen in her Instagram write-ups. A leading member of IEEE JUSB, Trisha shows what a girl can achieve, inspiring all the girls in STEM. Don’t fall for her cute height and introverted voice; she can boss you around in labs and during debates.

From ranking nationally in ICSE to ranking first in our batch with her GATE rank, she has aced it all. She's equally talented in other areas too, gracefully carrying herself in Bharatnatyam and capturing beautiful memories for our batch. Her colourful notes are a work of art, and her intellectual sense of humor attracts people across both campuses. While this "panchayat ki ladki" finds her way to a stable home in Salt Lake (iykyk), we wish her luck with everything she achieves.

Arnab Seth, known affectionately as Ornoob, is a standout individual with roots in South Kolkata. Despite living closer to JU than most, he’s rarely been seen on campus. Arnab proudly boasts about his single-digit attendance record each semester. With a sunglasses collection that could rival a NASCAR pit crew's inventory, Arijit Pyke, our “Sultan of Shades,” rocked his shades everywhere - from presentations, lunch breaks, night walks, and even during that fire drill where everyone else looked like startled pigeons 😂. His signature cap and sunglasses have practically become a part of his DNA!

Mr. Pyke, with his surname setting him apart (iykyk), boasts a distinct personality and attitude within the college community. Known for dominating the gym, always pushing his limits and flaunting his strength, Arijit’s flirting prowess is legendary (that's what he feels), albeit with mixed responses. His aspiration lies in entrepreneurship rather than conforming to a typical 9-to-5 job. Life seemed like a piece of cake (except for his love life, of course 🤧), as he chilled through 4 years of college life and cracked the interview effortlessly. Despite his playful antics, he's also adept in the kitchen, quickly honing his cooking skills. Sourja Datta, affectionately known as SD among his peers is a tall, handsome, and exceptionally talented individual hailed as one of JU's finest artists. His childhood love for Australia is evident, with Steve Smith, Pat Cummins, and Glenn Maxwell ranking high among his favorites. Sourja's sporting prowess shines through as he actively represents his club in state and district level competitions in swimming and cricket, earning accolades for his remarkable paintings as well.

While every Indian cheered for India during the WC Final, Sourja was ecstatic over the victory of his beloved men in Yellow, earning him the playful tag of "Desh-Drohi." A true all-rounder, he effortlessly hits sixes like he captures hearts, all the while remaining humble and unassuming. Despite his nerdy tendencies, constantly engrossed in mathematical problem-solving even during exams, Sourja has also taken up a career as a cricket coach, showcasing his versatility.

There was a time when Starbucks sponsored free coffee at his place, but the supreme taste eventually bored him. He loved taking stance with his SS bat in the first year, but after its handle came off during a crucial innings, he grew to hate using SS bats forever. Despite his seemingly introverted demeanor, his lively call history with our CR suggests otherwise. A mystery wrapped in talent, Sourja is a star that shines brightest in competitive exams like JEE, WBJEE, CMI, ISI, and GATE, acing them all in his first attempts. He can sing and even do the moonwalk, but his enthusiasm for sounds surpass them both. His affinity for Arabic music makes him the noble metal that one would aspire to possess in life.



Tamal Khanra, fondly known as Hostel er Dada, whose vibrant presence reverberates through the corridors of JUSL. Khanra, as affectionately called by friends, embodies a dynamic lifestyle, always immersed in various activities. You can often spot him during night time, optimizing energy consumption in CAB and promoting the "go green" mode. His wealth of practical knowledge is commendable, owing to his valuable work experience.

Khanra is a social butterfly, more engaged with others, adding liveliness to every interaction. Despite his frugality, often seeking "chai-sutta" from friends, his presence in gatherings infuses energy and camaraderie. He played an active role in Sanskriti and served as a prominent speaker in the CPC GB. Having Khanra among us elevates the spirit, turning ordinary moments into memorable ones filled with enthusiasm and zeal.



Udvas Sengupta, also known as "Pro" is the batch entertainer who never fails to spark discussions wherever he goes. Although he appears introverted in person, he has mastered the art of connecting with girls on Facebook and Instagram and understanding of the intricacies of human psychology, particularly concerning relationships.

A self-proclaimed 'lyadhkhor,' Udvas can often be found in his home in the village of Bankura (city, sorry XD), alternating between leisurely pursuits like sleeping and engaging in a bit of social media stalking. However, when the exam season arrives, he transforms into a study beast, dedicating 36 hours of intense focus to his academic endeavors. Despite his seemingly average student persona, he surprises everyone by successfully tackling complex tasks within the group. His expertise extends beyond academics, with an extraordinary knowledge base encompassing airplanes, geopolitics, and battleships.

He has now taken on the role of relationship advisor, sharing insights on how to approach girls and navigate romantic relationships while seeking assistance to navigate his own personal challenges, such as setting his boat sailing smoothly with his roommate. Udvas's humor, akin to Johnny Lever's style, often leaves us in stitches, especially with his quirky dressing choices and unforgettable "Rocky" look during our reunions. Rashid Asghar, often known for his "Riche rich" personality and unwavering admiration for SRK, stands out as a unique blend of charm and dedication. His fondness for SRK is unparalleled, ensuring he catches all new releases on the first day, first show. Despite his classy demeanor, his behavior speaks volumes about his character. Once he sets his mind on something, his dedication and commitment become unparalleled, driving him to work tirelessly until he achieves his goals. Respect is a cornerstone of Rashid's interactions which is evident in how he treats everyone he meets with utmost regard and kindness.

His philosophy of prioritizing performance over idle commitments reflects his pragmatic approach to life. Muhsin Mansoor, the boy who embarked on a journey from Kashmir with a dream and a mission, found his way to Jadavpur University. A true team player, Muhsin was an active representative of our department in ARENA-24, showcasing his skills and dedication on the field as well. Despite the challenges, he maintained one of the most sorted-out lives during this four-year journey, a testament to his organization and resilience. Throughout his journey, Muhsin has been a beacon of support for his friends and juniors, always extending a helping hand when needed. His regular presence at fests and his enjoyment of campus and hostel life have made him a familiar and cherished face in our community. Soumyajeet Acharya aka the "Chick-Magnet" from Belgharia is one of the charismatic personality that lights up our department. You'll often spot him cafe hopping with his dates, showcasing his charm and infamous sense of humor that has made him quite popular among the girls. However, beyond the jokes, Soumyajeet embodies the essence of Jadavpur University, with a deep passion for classical and folk music, art, culture, and insightful discussions on politics and socialism. He's also been a prominent advocate for the green revolution at our Salt Lake campus.

From his active presence at every fest to GB meetings and his achievements as a class topper, he's our go-to big brother whose appetite for life knows no bounds. Surprisingly, he can transition from lively conversations to deep slumber in the blink of an eye, leaving us all in awe of his unique talents.
