When you're wondering "what career is right for me?" it's best to think about the intersection between what you are good at, what the world needs and what you enjoy doing. 🚀🚀

Think about your skills & interests, rather than job titles; you might be surprised to see what the things you enjoy doing add up-to career wise and it'll expand your search, as similar skills can be appied to a wide variety of careers.

Separately, research helps! If you know someone in a field you're thinking about, ask if they'd like to connect with you over coffee (or maybe call - given we are all stuck in this pandemic) to discuss the day-to-day duties of the job. You can also learn a lot about jobs by being interviewed for them, and an interview often forces you to boil down your interests and skills even if it ends up not being a good fit.

The thought of agreeing a salary makes certain candidates nervous.
According to a recent survey of 1,000 employees aged 18 to 34, 57.2 percent have never attempted to discuss their salaries. 😰

For fear of losing their job offers, 10.4% of respondents said they would stop negotiating their pay. It has an effect on your future earnings and self-esteem.

While negotiating your salary isn't exactly a pleasant experience, it is a necessary skill for a good career.
