The idea of the Institute was proposed by our Honorary Advisor & well wisher, Mr. Takashi Sagae, an internationally acclaimed Plant Maintenance Consultant.

TSD Technology Training & Services Institute was established with the vision of providing a Training platform for much needed skills required in the Industries. TSD Technology Trainings & Services Institute was established with the vision of providing a Training platform for much needed skills required in the Industries and Commercial organizations. The Institute was established on 29th March, 201

2 and started with organizing TPM ( Total Productive Maintenance) seminars with Consultants from JIPM Solutions Japan, and later on started organizing successful seminars on TPM, Planned Maintenance and Plant safety, which have become regular programs of the Institute. TSD institute has also been into TPM Consultancy with clients including Indian oil Corporation, Tata Steel group companies, Electrosteel castings, Usha Martin and others. In house customised TPM Trainings are also another busy area of TSD Institute, where clients are Tata Tinplate, and various Refineries of Indian oil Corporation. WHO WE ARE? TSD Institute is also foraying into Technical Vocational Trainings (VT) for providing workable skills for the young section of the society to make them employable or self-employed. Lack of skill is a big issue in the ground working force of the Industries, whereas unskilled unemployed people are knocking at the door of employment. TSD Institute wants to bridge this gap by providing training platforms for the desiring candidates to:

(i) provide technical skills to the unemployed
(ii) improve the skills of the employed
(iii) provide support to the industry by developing customized training services, and
(iv) develop customized training materials and training videos for industry customers. Parallely, soft skill training for all sections of the people will remain one major area of work for the TSD Institute. OFFICE TPM Training & Consultancy will be also another wing of TSD Institute’s activities. Curriculums on vocational skills like photography, video graphy, video editing and design are also included. The coming years will see many diversification in TSD institutes’ skill development initiatives.

In my last post, I mentioned Planned Maintenance is a Game.

I mentioned about limited resources available with which the game is fought, and the tough goals set for winning against a variety of odds.

PLANNED MAINTENANCE is a very interesting domain.

It fascinates me. I always think it is like a game.

Here, you are given a big playing field, and provided some resources, with which you have to play the game.

The resources you have are: some amount of budget, some manpower, some hardware tools, some software support, some spares in stock, and last but not the least: some limited time. In the big field, where you have to attend an endless number of equipment, each of which may be comprising of a thousand parts, these resources always look eternally insufficient.

On the other hand, the demands are endless too: high availability, minimum downtime, no breakdowns, and also perfect performance of the equipment.

And, you have to manoeuvre your resources deftly, to deliver the demands.

It is really like a game, I think so. What do you think? Send your comments/message.
