'একটি হেডফোন কানে নিতেই হঠাৎ শুনতে পাওয়া যায় রাজনৈতিক মিছিলের উদ্ধত স্বর। আবার সেই স্বর মিলিয়ে যেতেই ভেসে আসে ঢাক-ঢোল বাজিয়ে উৎসবমুখর শোভাযাত্রার ধ্বনি। ঢাক-ঢোলের শব্দ থামতেই বেজে ওঠে চিৎপুরের বিখ্যাত ব্যান্ড-পার্টির শব্দ। তিনটি ভিন্ন স্বাদের মিছিলের শব্দ যেন একসঙ্গে অর্কেস্ট্রা তুলেছে একটিমাত্র হেডফোনে। আবার কোথাও মহিলা ফেরিওয়ালার ডাক, কোথাও ফল বিক্রেতা একটি জায়গায় বসে ডাকছেন ক্রেতাদের। কোনো কোনো ফেরিওয়ালা আবার নিজের মুখে নয়, বরং মাইকে রেকর্ড করা শব্দ শুনিয়ে ফেরি করেন। সেই শব্দও আলাদা করে সংরক্ষণ করা হয়েছে।'
