Since ages, Cancer has spread it's dangerous tentacles all over the world, harming generations after generations. Following the advancement of medical science, mankind has come up with several ways to cure this deadly disease .

The entire IIC-IEM team observes the World Cancer Awareness Day on 7th November, 2022 to increase the awareness of people towards this disease so that it can be prevented at all costs .

The sun is the Atman ,the self of the universe and supreme light. An ancient solar religion of light can be found in Vedas and throughout the ancient world and *Chhath Puja* continues to honour it.

Bhai Dooj is a Hindu festival celebrated after two days of Deepawali in the Vikram Samvat Kartik month.
After defeating the demon King Narakasura, Lord Krishna visited his sister Subhadra who gave him a warm welcome with sweets and flowers. She applied tilak on Krishna's forehead with affection and gave him a dry coconut, which is a symbol of auspiciousness. From then on, the festival of Bhai Dooj originated.
The festival commemorates the bond of love between brother and sister and is celebrated with rituals similar to that of Raksha Bandhan.
On this auspicious day, may you be showered with blessings and success in your life.

On this particular day, we recall the importance of his position, his accomplishments, and the inspiration he gave to us. A very happy Students' Day from all of the IEDC-IEM students!

It’s about how you drive, not where you’re going", as said by the famous Noam Shpancer, is a great phrase to remember today, the "World Mental Health Day", which falls on the 10 October and it is an important day to raise awareness for the mental well-being of people around us. We as responsible people have to be more careful, sensitive, and self-aware of the things around us so that things can change for the better.
We the students of IEM pledge to stop bullying, ragging and other malpractices that may hurt our friends and teachers, creating a homely and happy environment for all.

Our institution’s students shines bright in the 3rd season of Hack The Mountains Hackathon-

Non-profit organization Sudan’s Tech organized the 3rd session of “Hack The Mountains” Hackathon. It was a community- focused hybrid Hackathon, designed especially for the needs of the community. It was a great place to showcase your skills and creativity and develop technical knowledge alongside building real-time solutions with people from across the globe!
It was a MLH sponsored hackathon. Four students from our institution – Raihan Khan, Risavdeb Patra, Aritra Roy, Sayak Sarkar participated under the Team name Zephyrus and was successful in winning the Lighthouse track of the Hackathon. It was an extremely proud moment for the Institution and also a big confidence booster for our performers.
Lighthouse is a perpetual file storage protocol built on IPFS and File coin with the ability to pay once for your files to store them rather than the usual recurrent payments model. It has the ability of decentralised encryption and access control to store private data and build token gated applications. Quickly store and retrieve files with speed for your web3 applications, NFTs, DAOs, etc.
The institution’s innovation council(IIC-IEM) along with every other professor of our institution congratulates the team on their success. We hope to see many more such great achievements coming from our students.

Apart from being highly organized and process-oriented he also has excellent oral, written communication and listening skills. He is extremely detail-oriented and is able to work with a high volume of documents in a fast-paced environment.

Atrij Paul is a 2nd Year Student of AIML Department at IEM.
He is extremely responsible and never fails to adhere to deadlines. Not only does he have basic analytical experience, proficient typing skills and Data organization and storage knowledge, but is also able to work independently and in a team

Uday Sankar Mukherjee is a 2nd Year Student of B.Tech CSE AIML Department at IEM.
He has excellent knowledge of inventory management software and ability to accurately track inventory and create reports. He not only has an analytical mind with strong math and excellent organizational and planning skills but also outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.

Biru Kumar Mishra is a 2nd Year Student of B.Tech ECE Department at IEM.
He is extremely reliable and trustworthy. He is great at multitasking and has great problem solving, data analysis and proactive critical thinking ability and pays strong attention to detail.

Aritra Roy is a 2nd Year Student of CSE AI Department at IEM. He has excellent creative and imaginative skills and is comfortable with and has enough knowledge about traditional art which allows him to communicate with his designs.

Vidhi Mantri is a 2nd Year Student of CSBS Department at IEM. She is a person with a flair personality, quick with her thoughts and has good credibility in public relations. She possesses a great sense of charm and the capacity to influence others.

The day of Mahalaya marks the arrival of Durga, who is considered the ultimate woman and the greatest source of power. The early morning radio announces, "Maa is here" and the festival kicks off spreading happiness and joy.

The team PHOENIX2 comprising second year students of Institute Of Engineering & Management, Kolkata, has participated in the Smart India Hackathon 2022 organised by AICTE. After gruelling it over a number of rounds, they finally made it to the Finale of the national Hackathon to be conducted on the 25th and 26th of August, 2022 at Gujarat Technological University,
Ahmedabad, Gujarat where the team is gearing up to provide solutions to the problem statement by ISRO (which they have selected) – High accuracy positioning on mobile or automotive NavIC/GNSS receivers for road lane navigation, through different presentations and prototypes.

We congratulate the team mentors for mentoring the team members and guiding them to make it to the Finals of the national level, SMART INDIA HACKATHON 2022! Hearty congratulations to the team members for their efforts!

We wish them the very best in their endeavours and wish to see them bag the top spot and take the name of the Institute to greater heights.
