Who Started Republic Day in India?

A salute of 21 guns and the unfurling of the Indian National Flag by Dr. Rajendra Prasad heralded the historic birth of the Indian Republic on that day. Thereafter 26th of January was decreed a national holiday and was recognised as the Republic Day of India.

Proud to announce that the UCMAS Mega Lucky Draw will take place LIVE on FB on the 2nd of February 2023. Nearly 50 students will become lucky that day and together will take home cash prizes of Rs 2.5 Lacs.

Winners will be announced this day and the cash prizes will be handed over on the Awards Ceremony day on the 12th of February at the Eka Club, Ahmedabad. Good luck!!!

The festival is dedicated to worshipping Sun God and marks the beginning of the harvest season. It is an important Hindu festival and celebrates the sun's journey back into the northern hemisphere. Makar Sankranti marks the first day when the sun is transiting into Capricorn, also known as Makara in Hindi.
