UEM GREEN 2026

We are pleased to share that the 6th International IEEE Conference on Green Computing (UEMGREEN 2025) was successfully held at UEM Kolkata on April 25th and 26th, 2025. The event saw enthusiastic participation from researchers, academicians, industry experts, and students from around the world. Throughout the two-day conference, we engaged in insightful discussions, presented pioneering research, explored emerging trends, and fostered meaningful collaborations in the areas of green computing and sustainable energy.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to the distinguished keynote speakers, paper presenters, session chairs, reviewers, and all delegates for their valuable contributions. We are especially grateful to the dedicated organizing committee, student volunteers, and faculty members whose unwavering efforts made the event a grand success.
Above all, we express my sincere gratitude to our respected Chancellor Ma’am, Vice Chancellor Sir, Pro–Vice Chancellor Sir, Director IQAC, Deans, Registrar, Heads of Departments, and every member of the IEM–UEM family for their constant support and encouragement.

The ROBO HACKERS2024 competition was successfully completed under the supervision of the ECE Department of UEM Kolkata. A heartfelt thanks to our respected HOD Sir (Dr. Abir Chatterjee). Without his unwavering inspiration and enthusiasm, this event would not have been a success. Special appreciation to each and every faculty member, volunteers, and staff person for organizing and carrying out this hackathon so effectively.

The Department of ECE along with the IEEE MTTS Student Branch Chapter UEM Kolkata organized a Design Competition Electromagnetics: Simulate and Conquer for the B.Tech. students. Out of several participants three winning students were given certificate of merit along with prize. All the students are given participation certificates. Here are some glimpses.

The ECE department at UEM, Kolkata, is organizing a 5-day FDP.All faculty members from UEM Kolkata are cordially invited.

The ECE department of UEM in Kolkata will hold three competitions and one international conference. Every student is gladly invited. Students are also instructed to take their seats 15 minutes before the start of the program.

We extremely pleased to share that the Micron DRAM Fabrication Lab has officially granted us permission to use the Micron Tour images shared by the Micron Hiroshima IP Team, Japan.
We are also permitted to publish these images on our webpage and LinkedIn.
Notably, we are the 3rd university in India—following IISc Bangalore and IIT Mumbai—to receive this special permission to visit their Fabrication Lab.
This represents a proud outreach milestone for the ECE Department, IEM Newtown, UEM Kolkata.
We pleased to announce that three of our exceptional students Pritam Ghosh, Harsh Agarwal and Sayanika Das from the Department of ECE at the University of Engineering & Management (UEM), Kolkata with the eminent mentorship of Dr. Subhajit Das, have been honoured with an invitation to visit Hiroshima University, Japan through the prestigious Sakura Science Exchange Program travel grant by the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST).
We extend our deepest gratitude to Prof. Koji Kawabata Sensei, the Program Coordinator; Dr. Masataka Miyake Sensei, Prof. Kameda Sensei, Prof. Akinobu Teramoto Sensei, Dr. Ravi Yadav San, and especially to all the members of ECE department and honorable HoD Sir, who had contributed for making this remarkable tour possible.
