Our LKG children turned the floor into a playful learning zone as they explored pre-writing strokes. With standing lines, sleeping lines, curves, zigzag lines and circles marked out in colourful cello tape, the classroom became a giant activity mat.
Each child picked a chit and, on the count of three, dashed with giggles to stand on the matching stroke. Through this exciting game, they learned to identify and differentiate basic strokes, improved their listening and coordination skills and developed body awareness by associating movement with lines.
Most importantly, they discovered that learning to write can begin with a jump, a hop and a lot of fun!

Poila Baisakh Celebration
Birla Bharati celebrated Poila Baisakh, the Bengali New Year, with great enthusiasm and cultural spirit. The campus was beautifully decorated with traditional alpana designs, flowers, and colorful banners, creating a festive atmosphere.
The programme began with a special morning assembly, where students and teachers extended warm wishes of Subho Noboborsho. A brief speech highlighted the significance of Poila Baisakh and the importance of preserving Bengali culture and traditions.
Students actively participated in various cultural performances which included a melodious song, a recitation and an energetic dance performance that reflected the richness of Bengali heritage. Students also dressed in traditional attire, adding charm and authenticity to the occasion.
The celebration of Poila Baisakh in our school was a memorable experience that filled the hearts of students with pride for their culture and traditions.

Workshop on positive tools for the New Academic Session 2026-27
The new academic session commenced with an intensive one-day workshop by our Principal Ma'am, Ms. Madhumita Seal, designed to align faculty goals, introduce updated pedagogical strategies, and foster a collaborative environment.
Teachers were encouraged to revisit the curriculum, adopt small group teaching strategies, and use engaging methods to improve student learning. Emphasis was laid on the values of courage, confidence, compassion, and the importance of maintaining hope and perseverance.
A key highlight was the discussion on mental well-being, where teachers were guided to focus on their attitude and actions. The role of teachers in identifying students’ emotional and behavioural needs was also stressed.
The workshop further covered important administrative guidelines, including attendance, discipline, dress code, communication, and time management. Various committees were introduced to ensure smooth functioning of the school.
An interactive activity was conducted where teachers participated in a "Goal Mapping" exercise to align their subject-specific targets with the school’s broader mission.
The workshop successfully revitalized the teaching staff, providing them with both the motivation and the technical tools required for the upcoming year. The atmosphere was one of high energy and professional commitment, setting a positive tone for the first day of classes.

Small Hands, Big Smiles for Mother Earth! 🌍💚
On 22nd April 2026, our Pre-Primary department celebrated Earth Day with joy, creativity and meaningful learning. Our little eco-heroes explored the theme through fun hand printing activities, creating both a cheerful “Happy Earth” and a gloomy “Sad Earth,” helping them understand how our actions impact the planet.
Children enjoyed tracing, tearing and pasting to design a beautiful Earth, while proudly making colourful badges. Classrooms came alive with teamwork, laughter and creativity during group activities.
They also expressed themselves through short speeches, rhymes and puppet performances, sharing simple yet powerful messages about caring for the Earth.
With messy hands and happy hearts, our young learners showed that even small actions can make a big difference. Their message was clear: Love the Earth, and she will smile back! 🌱

A Proud Moment for Birla Bharati ✨
On 18th April, the students of Class XII from Birla Bharati had the privilege of presenting a dance performance at the esteemed Governor House, in the august presence of His Excellency, Governor R. N. Ravi, making the occasion prestigious for the students and the institution.
Gracefully performed by Nausheen Sarfaraz, Illana Ghosh, Rudrakshee Das, Sohini Dey and faculty member Gargi Niyogi, the dance was a vibrant expression of the folk song “Mere Hikudiya,” celebrating the rich cultural heritage of Himachal Pradesh. The Parent Orientation for Classes 3–5 at Birla Bharati for

A Joyful Start: Welcoming Our Young Learners!
The first day of school for our Pre-Primary, Classes 1 and 2 children was a delightful and heartwarming experience. A vibrant canopy of colorful balloons transformed the corridor into a cheerful, welcoming space, easing first-day jitters. With warm smiles from teachers, the children stepped into a world of fun and creativity. They enjoyed making playful paper sunglasses and bright paper flowers, symbolizing growth and new beginnings. Laughter echoed at the handprint station, where tiny, paint-covered hands created lasting memories. The day was filled with engaging stories, musical games and the excitement of forming new friendships.
