"Megh Malhar” is an initiative by the IIT Bombay Alumni Association, Kolkata and Bengaluru Chapters to put on hold all distress that the world has been facing for a long time now and celebrate the essence of Monsoons.
Mark your calendars for 29th August 2021, 7.30 pm ( Google meet platform) to have a gala virtual evening filled with music, recitation and a lot of other exciting events.
A tentative list for the detailed programme schedule is given below.

The IITB alumni association, Kolkata Chapter, in association with Lions Club of Kolkata Rabindra Sarovar pledges to help plant 21,000 trees to celebrate the year 2021, to create awareness and take a step towards sustainable development. The main aim of such a global scale plantation drive is to instill a sense of social responsibility within citizens from all generations and all walks. The campaign is for five days (26th June 2021 to 30th June 2021) and anyone can plant one or as many saplings at any location of his/her convenience.
Rules:
1. The participants are to send in their selfies with the sapling(s) planted to [email protected] along with their names, location and name of the sapling they planted.
2. Be sure to write "Tree Plantation Campaign" as the subject.
3. Participants are also encouraged to send a 2-minute video clip introducing themselves and stating how they contributed to this campaign and helped to spread awareness and bring change. The video must be send to the aforementioned mail id in a directory mentioning the name and location of the participant with their video zipped in a Google drive link.
The picture of the participants shall be put in the wall of fame of Lions Club International and will be provided with a certificate of participation ascertaining their contribution to the community.
To celebrate this noble contribution, the pictures will also be shared on our IITB Alumni Association, Kolkata Chapter page.
