South Point Ex Students Assocation (ASPEXS) has joined hands with CII Young Indians - Kolkata, Project Life Force and Vishnu Group, for organising a voluntary blood donation drive on 1st May.

Let's donate blood and help our city fight the pandemic before we get vaccinated! We are all in this together!

COVID is a respiratory virus which has nothing to do with blood. That is one reason swab samples are collected for COVID detection instead of blood. It is safe to donate blood in a camp. Let's donate now and give the gift of life.

South Pointers' Annual Reunion

The Care Wing of South Point Ex-Students' Association organised a Lunch for Retired Teachers at Calcutta Rowing Club. It was very well attended, and everyone had a wonderful afternoon.

Mrs.Supriya Datta passed away today at her residence around 3.30 PM after suffering a cardiac arrest.A legendary teacher who taught English in High School, is also an expointer from the batch passing out in 1961. She will always be fondly remembered by all members of the South Point family.We on behalf of all bid her a warm goodbye . May her soul rest in peace.🙏🙏

The evening saw a series of stage performances by talented and noted Pointers.

From this year, we also started the ritual of celebrating batches which have completed 25 years and 50 years of passing out from the School.

The main attraction of this year’s entertainment was a fashion show with a twist, “O Saathi Chal…” Featuring Pointers from across generations (1961 batch to the latest one), the show was an amalgam of live action, ethnic fashion, Bollywood and music.

We are continuing this year with our series of recognition “Pride of Pointers” to
stalwarts ,who have brought fame to their alma mater and pride to all of us Pointers. The Pointer body at large as well as the present students of the School take pride in basking in the reflected glory of the success and achievements of the alumni members in their respective professions. We at ASPEXS, on behalf of the entire alumni body, seek to honour and acknowledge the work and contribution of the ex-students of South Point
who have been a constant source of inspiration and pride for the Pointer community. This year, we are honouring Pointer Doctors, who are really our pride.

Passes are Sold Out completely and not available anywhere from now onwards. Passes will not be available at venue.

It is that time of the year once again, when you get to meet your childhood buddies and
celebrate memories, while the chill of the Kolkata winter is in the air. The Annual Adda
of South Pointers is here again. And this time, we meet at our School!

RENDEZVOUS@SCHOOL, the Annual Reunion of Pointers, is scheduled on Saturday,
29 December, 2018 at South Point High School, 82/7A Ballygunge Place, Kolkata 700
019 from 2 pm to 8 pm. Organised in association with The Telegraph and 91.9 Friends
FM, the event promises a long list of events and activities, music, food, games and more.
We are continuing this year with our series of recognition “Pride of Pointers” to

School will be open for you to reminisce your school days with friends. From this year,
we also start the ritual of celebrating batches which have completed 25 years and 50
years of passing our from the School.
As in the past, do come and join us with your friends and family and relive the past days
of your life with your schoolmates all over again. Please rush to collect your invitation
cards; however, do note that cards will be required for children above 10 years of age
also. The cards are priced at Rs 300 each, out of which Rs 200 is redeemable against
F&B at the event.

Ajit Moitra Sir passed away today early morning at his Thanthania residence. He was 90. He was suffering from age related ailments for a while. A holder of a triple MA and BSc degree, Sir taught quite a number of subjects in High School. A voracious reader, he was a person of immense knowledge on many disciplines. We pray for peaceful departure of his soul.
