Meghamallar Meghamallar is the House working for the promotion on Cultural Performances where interested people can come and join to develop their skills.

Presently we are dealing with Art, Music (vocal & instrumental), Dance, Tabla and Recitation. It is a great pleasure for me to write on page about MEGHAMALLAR, the House of Music, Art and Culture. To start about MEGHAMALLAR first of all I have to introduce myself with the lovers of Music, Art and Culture. In my long journey with cultural and social activities I have started learning in th

e field of Music (Vocal) and Art from the beginning of my School Life. In my secondary education period besides learning I got the scope to develop my sense of Art by involving myself in creating / designing / decorating puja pandals, stage decoration including theatre backgrounds and many others. In Music, besides learning I use to participate in the event of Dance-Drama, Geeti-Alekhya, Individual Performance on occasions. Of course, in this period, I didn't finish my practice/work/study until midnight. Many nights like this followed. After graduation, on the way to build up career, when I was fully involved with few cultural organisations, suddenly a thought knocked in my mind, inspired by my Mother Late Mrs. Agamoni Chakraborty which contributes to its very own culture and established MEGHAMALLAR in the year of 1986 under the visionary leadership of Musicians and Artists. MEGHAMALLAR is the house of Music, Art and Culture. The primary objective is to develop students through examination process, recognize and honour their achievements in the field of Music, Art, Rhythm, Dance, Recitation and Literature. Music Art and Culture help students in a multitude of ways. According to research our brains are wired differently for each of these activities. For example, students who are unable to understand their tasks through verbal means can understand them easily through songs. Painting and Craft help them to think and express themselves. Dance is not only giving expression, but also helps to improve body-eye coordination and develops gross motor skills. MEGHAMALLAR is the house of professionals sharing expertise knowledge to meet the requirements and provide solutions to students through proper guidelines. This is a completely non profitable organisation. From my long experience I learned how to pursue perfection. Striving for perfection has always been the target of MEGHAMALLAR teachers. However, it's the journey not the destination, that brings confidence, joy and the ultimate realisation: I can do it. Sankar Prosanna Chakraborty
