Guess what these balls are?
These are the seed balls prepared by the Santhal community members of Jampada, Odisha. The seeds are collected from the forest areas and in and around the village and are placed within the soil ball. These seed balls will be dispersed in the black areas to aid in natural regeneration. Efforts are taken as part of the restoration of the degraded ecosystems with active participation across the generations, old, young and children thus transmitting the legacy of conservation.
Ibradcoe Kolkata is facilitating the villagers for the initiative under the Ministry of Tribal Affairs supported project in Odisha.
