A small yet meaningful initiative was undertaken by the teachers and students of Calcutta Boys’ School, Beliaghata Campus, to extend a helping hand to the people afflicted by the devastating floods in Assam. With compassion at heart, our students came forward wholeheartedly, contributing essential items which was sent through a recognised Relief Agency thereby demonstrating that even the smallest act of kindness can bring a ray of hope to those in distress. This thoughtful endeavour reflects the true spirit of empathy, solidarity and responsible citizenship—reminding us that humanity knows no boundaries.

The CBS Samaritans of Calcutta Boys’ School extended a heartfelt gesture of compassion by distributing umbrellas to the underprivileged during this peak monsoon season. More than mere protection from the rains, these umbrellas symbolise a shower of God’s blessings, reaching the destitute through the selfless service of the Samaritans and providing them with a humble shelter against the elements. This noble initiative beautifully reflects the spirit of “Community Before Self”, transforming an act of kindness into a meaningful expression of love, dignity, and hope.

The CBS Samaritans of Calcutta Boys' School organised an enriching session on "Grooming, Health and Hygiene" for the students of Classes VI–VIII.

The session was conducted by Mrs Chandonna Datta, a distinguished Nutrition and Dietetics professional, Gold Medalist from Jadavpur University, and recipient of the prestigious Shushila Devi Birla Award. Drawing upon her expertise, she eloquently underscored the importance of personal grooming, hygiene, and wholesome living, while sharing practical insights on cultivating healthy habits and a confident personality.

Marked by enthusiastic participation, the session evolved into a lively exchange of ideas where misconceptions were dispelled, queries were addressed, and invaluable professional guidance was imparted. The programme concluded on an inspiring note, leaving the students with a renewed appreciation for the virtues of cleanliness, self-care, and holistic well-being.
