Today our school celebrated International Earth Day with great enthusiasm through a variety of meaningful and engaging activities across all sections.
Students of Nursery and KG participated in simple yet enjoyable activities to understand the importance of nature. Nursery children went on a nature walk and created a tree using fallen leaves, while KG students explored leaf printing and colouring activities. These activities helped them develop love and care for the environment.
Students of Classes 1β5 engaged in creative tasks such as sprouting, leaf printing, and eco-friendly crafts. Through these activities, they expressed their understanding of Earth Day and learned the importance of sustainability, conservation, and reducing waste in their daily lives.
Students of Classes 6β8 took part in an inter-house quiz based on environmental awareness. House points were awarded, and participants received seed packets as prizes to encourage planting. Audience members also actively answered bonus questions and were rewarded, symbolizing the importance of nurturing nature.
Students of Classes 9β12 attended a special chapel service highlighting the need to protect our planet. All students also brought zero-waste tiffins, avoiding disposable packaging, which reinforced the practice of sustainable living.
Some students of Classes 6β8 also visited the Victoria Memorial for the event βEarth Day: Our Power, Our Planet.β They participated in activities like painting on globe models and shared ideas on environmental protection. The experience encouraged awareness, reflection, and collective responsibility towards safeguarding the Earth.

Today, our school successfully hosted Convivial 2026, a wonderful programme aimed at rewarding students for their good social deeds from the past session. Principal sir delivered an inspiring speech encouraging us to continue helping others and even promised a special treat for the winners!
We are also indebted to maβam for taking out time from her schedule to be a part of this event and motivate the students.
Certificates were awarded for both good deeds and achievements in sports events like Football, Chess, and Carrom. It was truly a motivating and morale-boosting experience for everyone.
