Heartfelt greetings to all,
It is once again a pleasure to announce the successful completion of our 2-Day Symposium on Bharatiya Bhasha Pariwar held on 9th and 10th December 2025 organised by Linguistic Research Unit, Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata, under the aegis of Bharatiya Bhasha Pariwar, Ministry of Education, Government of India. The symposium discussed on the recently published volumes - Bharatiya Bhasha Pariwar: A New Framework in Linguistics and Collected Studies on Bharatiya Bhasha Pariwar: Perspectives and Horizons.
Experts from all across the country were invited to deliver lectures, and topics ranged from linguistic unity and diversity among South Asian languages to discussions focussed on dismantling the colonial narratives imposed upon Indian languages and language systems. We are more than grateful to all participants for sharing their views and actively taking part in the question/answer sessions; it is always lovely to host you all.
Thank you, everyone, for cooperating, collaborating and extending your support throughout the symposium. We look forward to many such endeavours in future.

The Symposium will discuss on the recently published volumes - Bharatiya Bhasha Pariwar: A New Framework in Linguistics and Collected Studies on Bharatiya Bhasha Pariwar: Perspectives and Horizons.
Experts from all across the country will deliver lectures and hold panel discussions that primarily encourage linguistic harmony among Indian languages by going beyond the colonial-minded linguistic classification system and decolonise the established traditions of linguistic thought.

We are pleased to share that our 3-Day Workshop on the Transcreation of Uniform Scientific and Technical Terminology for Indian Languages: Challenges & Opportunities was a resounding success! Held from September 1st to 3rd, 2025, at the esteemed Indian Statistical Institute in Kolkata, the event surpassed our expectations.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to our Director, Dean of Studies, and Deputy Director for their unwavering guidance and encouragement throughout this journey.
