“1113213211″ is the next number.

Explaination; Each successive number is formed by looking at the preceding number and reading out the digits, grouping like digits together and saying the number of identical digits followed by the digit.

For example 1 is read as "one one", and so the second number is 11

11 is read as "two ones", so the third number is

21.

21 is read as "one two, one one", so the fourth

number is 1211

1211 is read as "one one, one two, two ones",

so the fifth number is 111221

What is the importance of MATHEMATICS????

***Mathematics is like the sunlight illuminating the objects of the earth***

For example if you go to quantum physics you will need the calculus to explain the laws , same is in astrophysics etc.

In "electrical" as well as in electronics engineering the matrix computation and laplace is used as well as some amount of complex analysis for impediece triangle and etc.

In "civil engineering" and "architecture" most wonderful part of geometry is used in 3d views to imagine things and sketch things with engineering graphics as elementary tool and some software toolbox like Matlab and solid works etc.

In " computer science and engineering "we use more of discrete mathematics and linear algebra to explain things and compute the algorithm .

More over now in " biology and life sciences "and etc with genetic and all people are coming with mathematics with the explanation.

In graph sketching the algebraic equations are being used to predict the nature of asymtodes , continuity and differentiability in the manner.

Last but not the least Statistics and Probability theory is being used in data science, machine learning , AI etc in modern research of Computer science and engineering.

What ia the shortest mathematical proof?

One of the shortest mathematical proofs published in an article is this

This proof refutes a well-known conjecture, made by the great mathematician Leonhard Euler, who had been unanswered for almost 200 years.

According to the conjecture, for n>2 , the minimum quantity of nth powers of integers such that their sum is also nth power of an integer is n.

With the help of a super computer, the authors of the article, L.J. Lander and J.D.Swift managed to find a counterexample: they found four integers whose sum of their fifth powers is also a fifth power!

This is a good example of how computers have slightly changed the way of doing math.

What is Hardy - Ramanujan (taxicab) number???

The number is 1729.
Let me tell the story-
Ramanujan was hospitalized and Hardy came to visit him by taxi. After entering the room in which Ramanujan were staying, Hardy told that the number of the taxi seemed something weird. In response Ramanujan mentioned that it is the smallest number which can be written as sum of the two cubes in two ways.
12^3 + 1^3 = 1729
10^3 + 9^3 = 1729
Hence 1729 is called the Hardy Ramanujan number.
