On the final day of Eshana 2024, our annual intra-college cultural competition, in which the students of our Department participated wholeheartedly and fiercely.
Dr Somrita Urni Ganguly and Dr Naina Dey, faculty members of this Department, were judges for the debate and painting competition, respectively, on the last day of this three day cultural festival.
Our students, Sayan Mukherjee, Jyotirmoy Ram, Dipra Nath, and Akoparna Dey, participated in a debate at Eshana 2024, our annual intra-college cultural competition. They spoke for and against the motion: Universal healthcare cannot be a reality in a country as poor as India.
Dr Somrita Urni Ganguly, Head of the Department of English, Maharaja Manindra Chandra College, was one of the judges. Sayan Mukherjee was awarded best speaker in the debate.
Our students, Madhuparna (Final Year) and Mriduta (First Year), participated in the painting competition at Eshana 2024, our annual intra-college cultural competition.
Students of our Department - Arya Bhattacharya, Dipra Nath, and Kaushik Sil - participated in a storytelling competition at Eshana 2024, our annual intra-college cultural competition. Our former faculty member, Dr Haimanti Sinha, was one of the judges for this event.
Priyadarshini Modak, a third semester student of our Department, won the third prize for Bengali recitation at Eshana 2024, our annual intra-college cultural competition.

The faculty members of the English Department were present at the book exhibition organised by the Central Library of our college, in collaboration with the Central Library of Maharaja Sris Chandra College.
