On the auspicious occasion of Día de libro 23rd April, 2025 the Spanish language students of our Sister Nivedita University performed a poetry recitation in Spanish and Bengali of the great Guatemalan Nobel laureate poet Miguel Angel Asturias along with other Spanish students in a program arranged by the Indo Hispanic Language Academy at Sarat Bashbhawan. Chief guest H.E. Omar Castañeda Solares, Ambassador of Guatemala in India and Honarary Consul General Shri Mukund Khaitan, Dr. Dibyajyoti Mukhopadhyay along with other dignitaries were present there. The ambassador gave a very warm speech and praised all the students' performances in the program.
We wish n hope for their enhancement in this language learning in future.

On 6th February,2025 at Indo Hispanic Language Academy pavillion our students had presented recitation of Spanish poems by Eunice Odio and Alvaro Mata Guille. Guest from Peru Embassy, Mr. Carlos Garcia, Prof Malabika Bhattacharya, Mr. Anirban Chattopadhyay, ex editor of Anandabazar Patrika and other Spanish translators, professors and spectators were present there.
Special thanks to our students, and teachers Moumita Saha and Rajdeep Dasgupta who helped in every possible way to materialise this program smoothly. And above all our director Prof Dr. Subir Dhar Sir, under his guidance we are able to do many many different activities to enhance our students language learning ability and grow interest in this field.
Thanks a lot.

School of International Languages hosted the Karaoke and Cosplay event in the Kolkata International Book fair on 5th Feb, 2025. Students cosplayed their favorite fictional characters and sang their favorite song!
