कोरोना विषाणूजन्य फैलावाच्या वाढत्या प्रादुर्भावाच्या पार्श्वभूमीवर सद्या बाजारात असणाऱ्या सॅनिटाईजर्स व मास्क च्या कृत्रिम टंचाईमुळे सर्वसामान्य माणसाचे जीवन अगदी चिंतामय व विस्कळीत झाले आहे. मा. जिल्हाधिकारी यांचे आदेशावरून देखील सॅनिटाईजर्स व मास्क च्या कृत्रिम टंचाई ला कोल्हापूरवासियांना सामोरे जावे लागत असल्याचे विदारक दृश्य पाहावयास मिळत असतानाच कोल्हापुरातील डी. वाय पाटील समूहाच्या,डी. वाय पाटील अभियांत्रिकी महाविद्यालयाच्या च्या केमिकल विभागाने संशोधनातून चांगल्या प्रतीच्या सॅनिटाईजर्स ची निर्मिती केली असून तो अत्यल्प दरात जनमानसात उपलब्ध करून एक सामाजिक बांधिलकी जोपासण्याचा प्रयत्न केला आहे.
उत्तम प्रतीचे रासायनिक घटक, इसेन्स ऑइल वापरून सदर सॅनिटाईजर्स ची निर्मिती या विभागाने केली असून दर्जाची पडताळणी करूनच कित्येक सामाजिक संस्थानी या विभागास सदर सॅनिटाईजर्स मोठ्या प्रमाणावर बनविण्याची ऑर्डर हि दिली आहे.
डी. वाय पाटील समूह हा नेहमीच सामाजिक बांधिलकी जोपासन्यात अग्रगणी राहिला असून आपल्या कृतिशील कार्यक्रमातून वारंवार आपल्या सृजनशीलतेचा परिचय त्यांनी करून दिला आहे. कोल्हापूरवासीयांवर कोणतेही संकट,नैसर्गिक आपत्ती असू देत; डी. वाय. पाटील समूह हा सातत्याने अग्रेसर राहिला आहे. समस्त शहरवासीयांवर कोरोना विषाणू रुपी संकटाची टांगती तलवार असताना तो रोखण्यासाठी आवश्यक असणाऱ्या अल्कोहोलयुक्त सॅनिटाईजर्स ची अत्यल्प दरातील निर्मिती व सातत्यपूर्ण पुरवठा करून डी. वाय पाटील अभियांत्रिकी महाविद्यालयाने एक स्तुत्य आदर्श च निर्माण केला आहे असे म्हणल्यास वावगे ठरणार नाही.
सदर संशोधन करण्यास विभागप्रमुख डॉ. के. टी. जाधव तसेच सर्व प्राध्यापक वर्ग व शिक्षकेतर वृंद यांचे मार्गदर्शन लाभले. उत्पादन प्रक्रियेत विद्यार्थी प्रतिनिधी सुदर्शन बागल, प्रतीक कांबळे आणि ऋषिकेश देशमुख यांनी विशेष परिश्रम घेतले. सदर संशोधनाकरिता समूहाचे कार्यकारी संचालक, डॉ. अनिलकुमार गुप्ता, महाविद्यालयाच्या प्राचार्या, डॉ. क्षमा कुलहल्ली,उपप्राचार्य, डॉ. अजितसिंह जाधव, रजिस्ट्रार व उप रजिस्ट्रार तसेच संस्थेचे अध्यक्ष, मा. डॉ. संजय डी. पाटील, उपाध्यक्ष, नामदार सतेज डी.पाटील, विश्वस्त व नवनिर्वाचित आमदार श्री. ऋतुराज पाटील यांचे अनमोल प्रोत्साहन व सहकार्य लाभले.

D Y Patil Group Kolhapur is organizing the President Cup second time. Inauguration function was held on 4th April 2019 at 5 pm.

Hon. Ruturaj Patil Saheb, Prithviraj Patil Saheb, Karan Kakade and Vahini Saheb were present.. Exuctive Director Gupta Sir, Siddarth Salokhe, Sabnis Sir, Allwn Lobo, Manish Singh and many more dignitaries were present during the Inauguration function.. 20 teams are participating in this Mega Event..

Mr. V R Vaidya from Excel Industries visited our campus on 5th April 2019. We have very good industry institute interaction with Excel Industries, Chiplun. Our students are doing industrial project, industrial training,plant visits every year. They are going for off campus placements of our Chemical Engg. students.

During his visit he conducted the Project orals of final year Chemical Engg students and given intellectual speech on Expectations of Industries from the Fresh Graduates.
