Had an interaction with around 100 BCA students at DRK College of Commerce today.

Honestly, it was a reality check.

Out of 100 students, only 4 actively participated in the discussion. Very few were engaged in part-time or industry work — hardly 2–3 students were gaining real-world exposure after college hours. The overall awareness about career planning, global opportunities, and the importance of building skills early was quite low. The excitement to shape a strong career from the initial stage simply wasn’t visible.

As educators and mentors, this is slightly disappointing — because the potential is there, but the hunger needs to grow.

But even in a room where participation was minimal, one spark stood out. One student showed genuine clarity and ambition — aiming for his Master’s either in the UK at the prestigious University of Edinburgh or in Ireland at Trinity College Dublin.

That one driven mind made the session worthwhile.

Sometimes, impact is not about numbers — it’s about awakening even one serious dreamer.
