We are a non-profit social enterprise based in Kokrajhar, BTC, Assam, India. You will receive practical hands on tuition from professional DJ’s who are talented, approachable and patient who will teach you the standa
rd skills needed to be a DJ in a club or festivals. We believe:
1) DJs are musicians.
2) The Turntable (Pioneer CDJ etc.) is a musical instrument.
3) Learning to DJ helps people develop self-confidence, communication, team work and musical skills.
4) DJing is easy and accessible at first but can be as hard as you can handle. It is fun, rewarding, a pathway into all music and a possible career. Learn To DJ: The Basics of DJing: How to use the equipment, how to cut, how to beat mixing etc… you name it. Each style of music lends itself to different mixing styles, you may want to learn some or all of the techniques available. Our one to one students can choose to learn exactly what they want to learn. We start with the basic functions and then watch and discuss with you so we only use your time to teach you what you want. Learn to DJ: We will help you to build your own set in any style of music either from the selection of music we have on offer or what you would like to bring along. We strongly recommend you bring some of your own music as you will be able to DJ better with music you know and love. We will teach you how to achieve the best sound quality by using the mixer and fx. You can also learn how to set up and use P.A. equipment to achieve the best live sound. Part of being a DJ is being able to read the crowd you are playing to, we will give you hints and tips but also, because of our strong links and regular events at nightclub and festivals, we can give you practical experience playing at showcases as opening act. One To One DJ Lessons & Tuition: Our one to one DJ lessons and tuition are available to individuals and small groups of any age or experience. You will be able to use any or all of the equipments we have available and will be able to learn what you want the way you want to learn it. Our studio is in Kokrajhar town – if you cannot travel to Kokrajhar town we can refer you to our nationwide partners who can teach you anywhere in the India. 1. BASIC COURSE. The perfect introduction for those with little to no experience of DJing. Admission starts: June 2017. Introduction: Are you… a self-taught bedroom DJ looking to get some formal training? Sometimes making mistakes in your mixes?
