As per the long-standing demand of All Bodo Students Union - ABSU and other Bodo national organizations, Bodo language has been included in the CTET (Central Teacher Eligibility Test). It is to be noted that Bodo language will be used as option (L-1) in the upcoming CTET examination to be held in the month of September.

Thanks to ABSU and the Bodo national organizations for their long struggle to solve this major problem of Bodo medium students. Sincere thanks and gratitude are also extended to UPPL party president Shri Pramod Boro, MP, Shri Rwngwra Narzary, and MP, Shri Jayanta Basumatary for their support and efforts in resolving the issue through the official process.

It is hoped that through this opportunity, the problem of Bodo language teachers in schools run by the Central Government will be resolved in the future, and Bodo students will be able to secure teaching positions.

In particular, we congratulate all the winning candidates of BPF, BJP (NDA), and INC across the 15 constituencies of the Bodoland Region. We are hopeful that the elected representatives will uphold the trust and aspirations of the people of Bodoland, and work towards peace, unity, and inclusive development without any discrimination on the grounds of caste or religion.

On 29th April, 2026, at 02:00 PM, an executive meeting of the Kokrajhar District Committee, Youth Wing, UPPL was held at the Central Office of UPPL (United People's Party Liberal), Kokrajhar. The meeting was presided over by Sri Hatharki Mahilary, President, of Kokrajhar District Committee, Youth Wing, UPPL.

In this meeting, there was detailed discussion regarding the Assam Legislative Assembly election held on 09th April, 2026, and about ensuring that the day of the results to be declared on 04th May, 2026, passes smooth and peacefully.

It is worth mentioning that in this meeting, Sri Ashok Goyary, Secretary of Central Youth Wing, UPPL, Sri Suraj Musahary, General Secretary (A) of Kokrajhar District Committee, UPPL and Sri Bijit Kumar Brahma, General Secretary (A) of Kokrajhar District Committee, Youth Wing, UPPL, along with district and block level office bearers, actively participated.

*Special Executive Meeting of Central Committee, Youth Wing, UPPL Successfully Held at Chirang*

*Chirang, 27th April, 2026:* Today, the Special Executive Meeting of the Central Committee, Youth Wing, United People’s Party Liberal (UPPL) was successfully held at Chirang under the chairmanship of Sjt. Danswrang Brahma, President (I/C), Central Committee, Youth Wing, UPPL.

From Kokrajhar district, a team led by Sjt. Hathorki Mohilary, President, Kokrajhar District Committee, Youth Wing, UPPL, and Bijit Kumar Brahma, General Secretary (A), KDC Youth Wing, UPPL, participated in the Central Executive Meeting.

🙏 Dear citizens of BTR, whether you support us or not, there was peace and harmony in BTR during the five years of the UPPL government. After the change in governance in 2025, there have been many violent incidents across the region.

At this critical time, UPPL sincerely appeals to all sections of society to maintain calm and unity. We request everyone to act with restraint and responsibility so that the situation does not become more volatile. Peace and harmony must remain our highest priority for the future of BTR.
