The Department of Sociology, in collaboration with IQAC, celebrated National Folklore Day on August 21, 2026, under the theme ROOTA (Reviving Our Origins Through Art).

The celebration featured a Naga Folklore Skit Competition and an illustration (Art & Painting) Competition, rooted in the spirit of EOTOLO, the Department’s Best Practice. Through these activities, students were encouraged to learn from one another and recognised the importance of indigenous knowledge, folklore, traditions, and cultural practices as part of their learning experience.

The Department of Political Science, 1st semester students accompanied by two faculty members, attended the 23rd Morung Lecture themed “Truth and Integrity in Naga Public Life” on August 19, 2026 at Hotel Japfü, Kohima.

The session, jointly organised by The Morung Express and the Research and Development Cell (RDC), Fazl Ali College, featured an engaging and interactive session with Mrs. Lithrongla G. Chishi (Retd. IAS) and Mr. Kahoto J. Yepthomi (IAAS). It was an enriching experience of learning, dialogue and reflection on integrity in public life.

KROS College Red Ribbon Club and NSS Unit collaborated in Donation Drive from 11th - 19th August 2026 to mark World Humanitarian Day. The donation was collected as a Relief Fund for Landslide effected areas of Eastern Nagaland.

KROS College organised Internship for the Department of Political Science (6th Semester students) at the PHQ Office Kohima and Pinnacle Skills.

At the PHQ Office, they learned about the administrative functioning of the police department, information management, and the coordination required to maintain peace and order.

At Pinnacle Skills, students received training in computer basics, marketing, CPR, blood pressure monitoring, and participated in a mock interview to strengthen their practical and professional skills.

A meaningful experience that connected classroom learning with real-world exposure.

KROS College NSS Unit Celebrates 80th Independence Day in the College Campus. The National Anthem was sung and the Programme Officer highlighted the importance of the day.The students took pledge and selfies on the Har Ghar Tiranga website.
