Faculty Profile

Petenei Tacü is an adjunct faculty at NCMFA, where he teaches the piano courses and music theory. He is also the founder of Mumotifs - a platform that operates a teaching studio and organizes music events.

His educational qualification includes a music degree in piano studies with concentration on Music for Social Change from Goshen College, Indiana, U.SA. He also holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Folkloristics from Nagaland University.

As a pianist, he has performed and participated in events, both at national and international levels some of which includes the Hornbill Festival, Bach Marathon, Brillante Piano Festival, and Piano Paragon. He has also collaborated with and performed alongside several musicians in the local community.

Faculty Profile

Ameü Üsou Zao is an accomplished musician, composer, and performer, trained across multiple disciplines. She has completed her performance Grades in Piano solo, violin, Electronic keyboard, Music Theory, and additionally holds an ATCL in the Principles of Instrumental and Vocal training, reflecting her strong foundation as both an artist and educator.
She has also added to her cap, the Trinity Summer Academy Course for Teachers under the mentorship of Professor Karl Lutchmayer in 2016.

In 2013, she founded “Ameü Üsou Zao & The Choir”, through which she has released 2 original albums, featuring a distintive blend of folk fusion and contemporary music. Her creative work has contributed to preserving local musical identity while presenting it in refreshing, modern forms.

Currently, she is the Director of the School of Music, Kohima, where she teaches violin. She is also the Music Director of Rev Dr Neiliezhu Usou Memorial School, Kohima, and is the violin instructor at NCMFA.

Kedovituo Peseyie (KEDO) is a singer, songwriter, and voice instructor from Nagaland, India, with a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance, specializing in Contemporary Music Studies, from NCMFA.

As a performing artist, KEDO has performed across Nagaland, Nepal, and Thailand and has been involved in various musical productions and compilations. His achievements include First Place in Solo Performance, Best Composer, and an RSL Topper’s Award in recognition of his excellence as a teacher.

Currently serving as a Voice Instructor at NCMFA, KEDO is committed to nurturing students in vocal technique, musical expression, performance, and artistic development. As an active singer and songwriter, he continues to pursue his own creative work alongside teaching, with plans to further his academic journey through a Master’s degree in Music.

Lozino Rhetso began her odyssey in the field of music at the age of 8 under the tutelage of her father who is a music aficionado. She joined St. Anthony’s College, Shillong, for her Bachelor of Arts in the year 2009, and graduated in the year 2012, majoring in Music. Driven by an unrelenting pursuit of excellence, she went on to further her musical expedition at the Philippine Baptist Theological Seminary in Baguio, Philippines, where she earned her Master’s degree in Church Music in 2016, with a specialization in conducting.
Beyond her academic and formal training, she has extensive experience teaching church music, further reflecting her deep commitment to the field.
She currently serves as an Assistant Professor at the Nagaland College of Music and Fine Arts (NCMFA), where she is affiliated with the Conducting Department. In addition to her academic responsibilities, she holds the position of Director at Penta School of Music, AG Road, Kohima, Nagaland, contributing to the development of music education in the region.

Visevoü Üsou is a graduate of the Margaret Shishak School of Music, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Music with Honours in Piano in 2026. She was awarded the Gold Medal in recognition of her academic and musical achievement. She also holds a Grade 8 Piano qualification from Trinity College London completed in 2020, along with additional training in music theory through Trinity College London and ABRSM.

She currently serves as a piano instructor and accompanist at the college. As an educator and performer, she values the artistic aspects of performance and continues to develop her practice, with interests in jazz piano, arrangement, and composition. Alongside her academic and professional work, she is actively involved in the worship music ministry.

Elijah Koza is a dedicated music educator with over five years of experience teaching Music Theory, Music Writing Skills, and Classical Guitar in Bangalore. Currently based in Kohima, Nagaland, he continues to guide and mentor both adults and children in their musical studies and performances. He currently serves as the Dean and teaches Guitar, sharing his knowledge and experience with students while helping them develop their musical skills and confidence.

He is also a composer and arranger, particularly for church choirs, with a passion for creating and developing meaningful music. As a passionate teacher and mentor, Elija enjoys working with students and is committed to nurturing their musical growth, creativity, and confidence.

Faculty Profile

Vesato Theluo holds a Bachelor of Music and a Master of Music (Major in Voice) from the Philippines, an Advanced Course in Voice from West Dean College, UK, and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. at Martin Luther Christian University, Shillong.

He served as Music Director of CBCK (2008–2019), taught at Patkai Christian College, and is a Voice Instructor at the School of Music, Kohima. He is the founder of Euphony Choir and has led choirs to international events in Hawaii, Singapore, and Thailand.

In 2016, he founded the Nagaland College of Music and Fine Arts, which continues to nurture aspiring musicians and promote quality music education in the state. A passionate educator and mentor, he is also a composer and arranger of Naga folk songs, dedicated to preserving and promoting Nagaland’s rich musical heritage.

We were deeply honored to host the NCMFA Alumni Concert in commemoration of NCMFA 10th Anniversary.DR.

It was a privilege to have Dr. Tseilhoutuo Rhütso, Hon’ble MLA, Nagaland Legislative Assembly, as our Guest of Honour, whose gracious presence made the celebration even more meaningful.

The evening was a beautiful reunion of generations, celebrating the enduring bond between the college and its alumni through inspiring performances, shared memories, and a passion for music that continues to unite us.
