As many of us, we were also in shock when we heard about the news of the untimely passing away 😔 of our dear friend and schoolmate Shine Shivanandan on 12th Nov. Everyone who was close to Shine and his family, the next mission was to ensure all the official formalities for repatriating his body from UAE 🇦🇪 back to his hometown Kodungallur (TKS Puram, Methala) at the earliest. We are thankful 🙏 to all who stepped in to support the process.

Sooraj and Ranjith, for their day-in and day-out presence and willingness to go from one office to another, grueling through the process.
Mr. Murali Thayyil (President - MELA - Methalites Living Abroad ) & Mr. Riyas Ck (Ex President, Overseas Malayali Association ( )), for their unconditional support, being there physically day and night, using all their contacts.
Mr. Ashraf Thamarasery , with his experience in handling such cases on a day-to-day basis, guided us along the process.
Hibi Eden - Honourable Member of Parliament (MP) , who put constant pressure from India 🇮🇳 to the authorities ( Cgi dubai )
in UAE to expedite the process.
And many more… who stepped in to support the process in these difficult times.

Most of these people have not even met Shine or have not interacted with him. We believe it is his kind soul that inspired all these angels to step in and expedite the repatriation of his body at the earliest.
We thank each and everyone for your unconditional support in these difficult times 🙏.

It is with deep sadness that we convey the news of the unexpected passing of our fellow MEMS alumnus, Shine Sivananth, who was 38 years old (MEMS 88-96 Batch), on November 12, 2023. Shine succumbed to a severe cardiac arrest while at work. A resident of Dubai, originally from Kodungallur(TKS Puram, Methala), Shine is survived by his wife and two cherished sons. His employer and friends are currently working with dubai government authorities on the procedures to bring his remains back to his home town kodungallur . We will update everyone on the arrangements as soon as we have more information. Our hearts go out to his family in this time of sorrow.

We are planning to start an Alumni WhatsApp group by gathering people from all batches as part of an effort to unite people from all batches who have studied so far in the golden jubilee year (1974-2024) which is going to celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of our school. So please forward this message to all the MEMS Alumni members you know and write your and your known alumni BATCH & WhatsApp numbers in the comments of this message. If you are already in your batch's WhatsApp group, the WhatsApp number of one or two representatives from it will suffice. May your cooperation enable us to find at least one person in every batch and thereby start a batch group of their own if they do not yet have one.

We are happy to announce an author from our Marthoma family. Rajiv Ambat Menon who is an engineer by education and investment banking professional by career turned out to be in a different path who he was very passionate about.

Today he is one of the successful life style coach and influencer in Kerala. The founder and CEO of his venture, Rajiv is not limiting himself to be an entrepreneur.

He is coming with his new book. Yes his debut author attempt to be one among the best in paper back space too.

His new book ‘The Midriff Crisis’ will be unveiling on coming day 30th April 2022
