Our KIS community came together to celebrate Independence Day with proud hearts, joyful moments, and a shared sense of belonging.

What began in 2022 as a way to reconnect our community after the pandemic has grown into one of Kodai School’s most anticipated traditions.

Celebrate KIS transforms classrooms into an interactive academic fair, with games, challenges, experiments and creative projects. This year featured student-built robotics, a handmade foosball table, mock Shark Tank pitches, quizzes, language games, science experiments, mathematical explorations and environmental investigations.

Students don’t just showcase what they’ve learned, they inspire others to join in. It’s a joyful reminder that curiosity, collaboration and hands-on discovery are at the heart of a Kodai School education.

What can a morning on a farm teach a child?

More than how to harvest beans or plant garlic.

It teaches where our food comes from. It reminds us that every harvest begins with patience, every seed holds possibility, and sustainable farming is rooted in care for the land, the seasons, and the people who cultivate it.

During their visit, Experience KIS students learned alongside local farmers, harvesting flat beans, sorting garlic for the next planting season, and asking questions about sustainable agriculture and life on the farm.

These moments are more than field trips. They are opportunities to connect classroom learning with the real world, fostering respect for the land that sustains us, a sense of environmental responsibility, and a deeper appreciation for the communities that nourish us.

Because classrooms and textbooks lay the foundation, and experiences like these bring learning to life.

Here’s a glimpse of one unforgettable weekend at our Poondi campsite. Hiking through scenic trails and building shelters, sharing meals, and gathering around the campfire, every experience encouraged students to explore, collaborate, and grow.
These moments aren’t simply activities, they’re opportunities to build confidence, form meaningful friendships, discover new strengths, and experience a community where learning extends far beyond the classroom.
