Moev & Maek: Maps
In this workshop that I did at , the kids explored the idea of maps and the world around them. We spoke about how places are connected and how there are soo many different ways to move through the world.
They drew their own maps, made marks in unsual ways and used movement as a tool to explore these ideas.
I love bringing art and movement together. When kids get to explore different mediums, it opens up new ways of thinking and imagining. Sometimes, a line becomes a path. It becomes a worm. It becomes a story.
And slowly, the world that the children imagine starts to expand and opens up more to explore.
