The program 'Reminiscences: Prof. Francis as Teacher, Scholar and Friend' started with a lecture by Prof. Michael Tharakan. Many of Prof NJ Francis's friends, colleagues, and students shared their memories of him. The event ended with a heartfelt memento presentation. Truly, the department will miss his presence!

Book release of the first two volumes of ‘History Research Series’ published by KCHR and the Department of History in the university today. Registrar Dr. Mothi George handed over the copy to Prof. Michael Tharakan. Prof. N J Francis is the general editor of the series.

Prof. K. Satyanarayana, Professor, Department of Cultural Studies, EFLU, Hyderabad, delivered the 3rd Dalit Bandhu Lecture organised by the Department of History, Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit, Kalady. He spoke on “The Figure of Martyr in Gaddar’s Memorial Songs.”
