Vennala Government Higher Secondary School has successfully completed a century of growing up and educating the new generation – the future of our country. In the golden years of its teaching history, the school has ignited the light of education to more than four generations in and around Vennala – an achievement we hold in the pinnacles of our success. It is one of the few government schools in
Ernakulam district, which is blessed with greenery. The institution is co-educational which follows Kerala State syllabus. Eventhough, Vennala is in the centre of the city, the school is located in a serene, quiet locality. At first, the school started as a Lower Primary School. After half a century, Upper Primary School was set up. High School classes started when it completed sixty years and hit the century with the beginning of Higher Secondary School. Now by 2010, the school is raised to the status of a Model ICT School which heightens the success of the school. Eventhough the school started with a small building, many new buildings were added to it later on. Separate, well-equipped Science Labs, a good Library, Computer Labs for Higher Secondary school, high school and upper primary school and Hi-Tech Smart Class Rooms – all these are new additions in the success story. The growth of the school is the growth of Vennala itself. So the history of the school is closely related to the history of Vennala. Vennala is a symbol of religious friendship and co-operation.
