The inaugural ceremony of Mechanical Engineering Association, FLAME (FLeeting Albertian Mechanical Engineers) was held on 14th August 2013 at college Seminar hall. Mr. S. GOPAKUMAR, Plant head of Appolo tyres inaugurated the function. Rev. Dr.Clement Valluvassery (Manager, AISAT ), Prof. Dr. Babu T. Jose (Director, AISAT), Dr. George Sleeba (Dean, AISAT), Prof. Dr. K. E. George, (Principal, AISAT), Mr. Arackkal Jos Mathew (Asst. Prof., Department of Mechanical Engineering), Mr. Hans M. H (Asst. Prof., Department of Mechanical Engineering), Mr. Kiran Sebastian (flame secretary) were present.
Mr. Arackkal Jos Mathew, Asst. Prof., welcomed the gathering. Prof. Dr. K. E. George, Principal, AISAT presided over the function. In the inaugural address Mr. S. GOPAKUMAR mentioned that innovation and creativity are the keywords for a successful engineer. He also said that the meaning of excellence is changing day by day and hence he wished the students for achieving greater excellence in their career. In the Manager’s address, Rev. Dr. Clement Valluvassery congratulated the students and faculties for making the event a grant success. In his speech he emphasis the need for effective working to attain success in life. In the Directors address, Prof. Dr. Babu T. Jose said that mechanical engineering is the most preferred branch among the students and he wished the department that let the flame spread like a wildfire. Dr. George Sleeba felicitated the gathering. Mr. Kiran Sebastian secretary flame delivered vote of thanks.
