ഒരു വാക്യത്തിലെ ഒരു ഭാഗത്തെ, പ്രത്യേകിച്ച് ആക്ഷൻ പദങ്ങളെ (verbs) മറ്റു വാക്കുകളുമായി പ്രത്യേകിച്ച് നാമങ്ങളുമായി ബന്ധിപ്പിക്കുന്ന ചില പ്രത്യേകതരം പദങ്ങളാണ് "prepositions."
മലയാളത്തിൽ ഇതിനെ "ഗതികൾ" എന്നാണ് എന്നാണ് പറയുന്നത്.
Eg:- To, From, of, on, in, with, without, till, Etc.
*ഇതിൽ ഇന്ന് നമ്മൾ പഠിക്കാൻ പോകുന്ന പ്രീപോസിഷൻ ആണ് "on"*

2) Week days പറയാനും 'on' ആണ് ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നത്.

3) തിയ്യതി പറയാനും 'on' ഉപയോഗിക്കും.
Eg:- on 21st march.
On 13th December.

Good Morning, Good Afternoon, Good Night പറയേണ്ടത് എപ്പോഴൊക്കെയാണ്?
ഒരാളെ കണ്ട് മുട്ടുമ്പോൾ ഇംഗ്ലീഷ് ഭാഷയിലൂടെ അഭിവാദനം ചെയ്യാനാണ് നാം Good Morning, Good Afternoon, Good Night എന്നിവ ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നത്.
ഏതൊക്കെ സമയങ്ങളിലാണ് ഇവ ഓരോന്നും ഉപയോഗിക്കേണ്ടത് ?
അതിന് ലോകത്തിലെല്ലായിടത്തും ഒരേ പൊതു നിയമമില്ല. ഓരോ രാജ്യം അനുസരിച്ചും അതിന് ചെറിയ വ്യത്യാസങ്ങൾ ഉണ്ടാവാറുണ്ട്. ഇംഗ്ളീഷ് കാർ തന്നെ ഇത് പല വിധത്തിൽ ഉപയോഗിക്കാറുണ്ട് .
താഴെ പറയുന്നതാണ് ഒരു പൊതു രീതി:-
Good Morning-ഗുഡ് മോർണിംഗ് - ഇത് രാത്രി പന്ത്രണ്ട് മണിക്ക് ശേഷം ഉച്ചക്ക് പന്ത്രണ്ട് മണി വരെ ഒരാളെ കണ്ട് മുട്ടുമ്പോൾ ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നു.
അതായത് നിങ്ങൾ അർദ്ധ രാത്രി ഒരു മണിക്കോ രണ്ട് മണിക്കോ ഒരാളെ കണ്ടുമുട്ടുകയോ അല്ലെങ്കിൽ എവിടെയെങ്കിലും കയറി ചെല്ലുകയോ ചെയ്യുകയാണെങ്കിലും നിങ്ങൾ പറയേണ്ടത്
Good Morning - ഗുഡ് മോർണിംഗ് എന്ന് തന്നെയാണ്.
Good Afternoon -ഗുഡ് ആഫ്റ്റർ നൂൺ : ഉച്ചക്ക് 12 മണി മുതൽ മുതൽ വൈകുന്നേരം 4 മണി വരെ പറയാം.
ഇനി ഉച്ച സമയത്ത് ഒരാളെ കാണ്ടുമുട്ടുമ്പോൾ നിങ്ങൾക്ക് സമയം എത്രയെന്ന് നിശ്ചയമില്ലെങ്കിൽ വിഷമിക്കേണ്ടതില്ല . hello , Hai എന്നിവ പറയാം . മാത്രമല്ല, ഇനി ഒരാളെ ആ ദിവസം ആദ്യത്തെ പ്രാവശ്യമാണ് കണ്ട് മുട്ടുന്നതെങ്കിൽ ഉച്ചക്ക് രണ്ടോ മൂന്നോ മണി വരെ ഗുഡ് മോർണിംഗ് തന്നെ പറയാം എന്ന ഒരു അലിഖിത കീഴ്വഴക്കവും ഉണ്ട്.
