It was the happiest moment for at least a group of youngsters who were attracted towards the selfless services rendered by Mr. Sreedhar Shenoy, senior Hockey Coach who is still imparting coaching to school children and trying to shape up them into good citizens, with a good health and good mind, the day a charitable trust “R.S. A group of hockey lovers under the efficient leadership of Adv.B.S.Suresh Kumar, a very good organizer of like events, started working as a project
-awareness of hockey- social service-healthy India- a dream of their coach, guide and well wisher. As suggested by Mr. B.S Suresh Kumar these enthusiasts approached Mr. Saju K Abraham FSC, a leading charted accountant interested in such matters like service, prayer and games. With immense pleasure he agreed to be the Chairman of the trust with B S Suresh Kumar as vice chairman and
other Trustees as
Mr. Dilin Dinesan- Secretary. Ebin Jacob- Joint Secretary. Shyam Nath- Treasurer. Naveed Muhammed- Coordinator of Social Service. Sunil.M.G- Coordinator of Hockey Promoting Group. Gibby Jossy- Coordinator of Health Academy. Midhun.T- Assistant Hockey Promoting Group. Shanker Lal- Assistant Social Service. Though wide publicity was not given, persons like Mr. Abdul Rehiman, IPS (Rtd), Olympian Dinesh Nayak expressed their wish to co-operate with the trust activities as members of the trust. Same way so many Hockey Players, who were trainees of Mr.Shenoy came forward to join the trust and carry on the work that Mr. R Sreedhar Shenoy started. Now it is decided to have three groups –
1) Hockey Promoting Group – Create awareness of Hockey, our national game, among children.
2) Social Service Group – Group is for doing well to the society – service to humanity
3) Healthy India – educates the needy about the need of Physical fitness so as to eradicate diseases. Separate committees will be constituted, under the control of “R.S. SHENOY’S SCHOOL OF HOCKEY TRUST” for better performance.
