We express our deepest condolences on the passing of Shri V.S. Achuthanandan, a visionary leader, freedom fighter, and statesman whose life was devoted to the service of the people.
As one of the founding members of the Communist Party of India (Marxist), he played a pivotal role in shaping Kerala’s political landscape. From being a tireless advocate for land reforms to serving as the 11th Chief Minister of Kerala (2006–2011), his contributions to social justice, education, and anti-corruption will be remembered for generations.
A man of integrity and conviction, Shri Achuthanandan stood firm on his principles throughout his remarkable political career spanning over seven decades.
We join the nation in mourning the loss of this great leader. His legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of the people he served.
